Although there were positive aspects to my visit, I encountered several disappointments that affected my overall experience. Prior to my arrival, I had requested a room on the side that close to the house reef, a request I made months in advance. Unfortunately, the hotel was unable to accommodate this, and the manager was neither transparent nor forthcoming about the reasons why. This lack of sincerity and communication was disappointing. Additionally, the waiting time for the seaplane transfer was over two hours, which felt excessively long and could have been better managed. The experience was further diminished by the discomfort on the seaplane itself—it was extremely hot, with only two small fans providing minimal ventilation. Given that the cost of the transfer exceeded $500 per person, I expected a more comfortable and well-equipped environment. I also participated in the hotel's sushi master class, which was not what I expected. The class focused solely on rolling sushi, with no hand on cooking knowledge/techniques. For a one-hour session priced at $70, I anticipated a more comprehensive learning experience rather than simply rolling two sushi rolls. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food throughout my stay was good. However, given the lack of honesty and sincerity in addressing our requests, we have decided to explore other resorts for our future trips to Maldives.
