I had booked my stay in this hotel from July 8 - 12. As I was arriving, I got a call and had to jump into a conf call. While on the call, I told front desk about my booking and they allotted me a room on 4th floor. The bell boy took my bag and we proceeded to the room. As I entered the 4th floor hallway, i could feel the stench of smoke and the room had the similar stench. The bell boy sprayed room freshner and I sat on the chair in the room to complete my call. In the midst of the call, I told the bell boy to change my room since the stench was still there. He told me to wait in the room. I completed my call and called reception to inform of my request for change in room. The person told me to wait. Few minutes later, the phone in the room rang. Someone from reception called. Later I found out it was Mr Ashish. He was nasty and had called just to give me an earful about why I went inside the room if I had asked for a change of room. I didn't want to ruin my day hence didn't argue with him on phone. I came down to speak to the manager and asked for one, only to be singled out by the reception people "this is the guy from room in 4th floor". Mr Ashish came forward asking what I wanted. When I asked to speak to the manager, he rudely told me " WE DO NOT HAVE ANY MANAGER HERE". I returned to my room. Finally i did get my room changed. Vowed not to eat anything from this hotel during my stay and checked out on 12th without any further incidents. The other staff were relatively polite. Mr Ashish is not only ruining the experience of guests but someone needs to teach him the lessons of politeness and decency. He is not fit to work in front desk or work in hospitality industry in any capacity. It is my request to management of this hotel to fire this guy and improve your front desk experience. I have heard about front desk experience at this hotel in multiple reviews and he is the sole reason for your negative review (now experienced as well).
