Kandy Rivers Edge Nature Resort

The service here was wonderful, the location is near to the lake as well as some bar streets 🤩✨ we had a view of big Buddha from our balconies, along with a view of the river (great for bird watching)

Beautiful fresh food & a lovely, tended, tiered garden, next to the river. They are incredibly welcoming, kind & helpful. The hotel is clean, bright, cared for & spacious. I would recommend staying here to everyone coming to Kandy. Especially make sure you try the delicious curry- prepared in the families open kitchen - I really enjoyed sitting on the large balcony surrounded by birdsong & curling up in the big comfy bed with a book borrowed from the shelf. There’s a large open plan restaurant & everything is very well looked after.

We stayed in this resort in April. It's a beautifully located property adjacent to the Mahawali river. The resort is run by a couple who seem to love the job.its evident by the cleanliness and decor. We were greeted by a wonderful chef who welcomed us with a fruit drink and Sri Lankan sweets. The morning Sri Lankan breakfast was healthy and awesome. The water pressure is slightly low and the water does not heat up well in the bathroom...but being a tropical weather I guess there is not much use for hot water either. Overall I would give 5/5 for all parameters to Kandy s river edge resort!

The service and food was amazing! The hotel is in direct view of the river which just adds to the overall natural ambiance. Its a great place for a getaway; extremely hospitable staff, great amenities and a beautiful location. Love this place will 100% visit again!

Runing by a very lovely, hardworking and caring couple. No matter how much praise is given to the owner of this resort, Padmini and her husband, it is less.Both are well behaved, full of affection, very pleasant and very caring hosts. Both take care of even the smallest needs of the guests staying at their hotelsThe breakfast served in the hotel every morning is very tasty. The kitchen is absolutely clean and up to the standards of cleanliness.The rooms are big and clean. The hotel is decorated in a very elegant manner. The hotel has a very nice environment, it is safe. The bathrooms are absolutely spotless and large. There is a system of cold and hot water. Toiletries are free.There is television in the room and satellite channels are available. The balcony is very big. And the river flowing in front of it, the Buddha statue situated on top of the mountain is very beautiful. The view is very beautiful. Hotel manager Upendra is a very professional and practical person. Upendra is also a very good cook. All types of dishes are available here on the demand of the guests. The hotel has its own small bar where you can chill out. Even in hotel has a small kind of library. Sting arrangements are very good in every nook and corner in hotel. My relationship with Padmini, her husband, hotel manager Upendra and other staff members became very familiar. I highly recommend this hotel, whenever I come to Kandy, I would like to stay here..🥰

The staff was very friendly and felt homely. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served nicely and there was a variety of food. Love the place, I would come again and highly recommended.

Good rooms on the river away from busy Kandy. Very clean and nice balconies. Friendly owners. Pretty restaurant on the water with good view and billiards. Breakfast was tasty but dinner was too expensive, twice the prices for simple food and no variety, so better to go out.

Chambre très confortable, et moderne, avec une salle de restaurant petit déjeuner qui donne une jolie vue sur la rivière. Le personnel est très attentionné, et bienveillant. On a passé une bonne nuit au calme du tumulte de Kandy! La salle de bain était propre. On avait même ce qui semble être rare au sri lanka, un tapis de douche.
