Makmani Boutique Hotel

Hotel is outstanding and located in the heart of Tbilisi with impressive interior, created throughout in love to old traditional genuine flair. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Room service is outstanding. Absolutely loved this restaurant, the food was amazing, and so was the service. Georgian classic cuisine and unique dishes will be an authentic gastronomic experience!

The air conditioning at the Makmani Hotel is broken. The AC units do not cool below 24 degrees celsius (75 fahrenheit) in the rooms and the lobby is a simmering 27 degrees celsius (80 F). The man working the night shift is entirely unprofessional and incompetent. He first turned up the temperature saying that would resolve it. When it didn't, he became very defensive and started blaming me by saying nobody else in the hotel had complained about this. He even brought a thermometer into the room and we saw the temperature did not drop below 24 degrees, which angered him even further. The hotel has no staff on site to resolve maintenance issues. They also told me there are no emergency repair people available in Tbilisi so they could not fix the issue. They finally agreed to refund me in full and cancel my booking and I gladly moved out. However, this is where it gets really bad. As I was leaving, the man who I was dealing with earlier became extremely aggressive. He started shouting profanities at me, he told me to "get out faster" when in fact I was literally on my way out anyway, and when I told him his behavior was inappropriate he tried to physically assault me. Two other people intervened and stopped him or else he would have hit me. I tried several times thereafter to speak to the management to report this uncouth man's behavior, but they have not returned any of my calls. This is an extremely unprofessionally run hotel and neither the management nor the staff seem to care about the guests nor do they know much about hospitality. Don't stay here. There are several other hotels within 2 minutes walking distance that are more professional and cost around the same price or even less.

Central but quiet hotel. It is a building that has been recently renovated. There is a 24-hour reception and the staff is very friendly. It has a terrace with tables outside. The pillows are adequate and so is the spaciousness of the rooms with terrace. It does not have its own parking but there is one very close to the hotel.
