That title was pretty literal for the first few days, because Tbilisi was around 40 Celsius when I arrived. However a few days in after the AC got working in my room, this place instantly went from 3 to 5 stars. There is a welcoming feel over here, so much so that you might even not regret skipping a day of hiking or touring just to be here and maybe visit a few nearby places. The facilities are about what you'd expect when paying for a hostel bed, but the rooms are kept quite clean, and there are useful things like a washing machine. I miss the late-night conversations that totally random hostel mates from around the world had about the most esoteric things. The location is central but it's not just about that, the atmosphere is such that I can count at least 5 people I met there who've been staying at the hostel for a couple of months. The guy running the show, Alex, is like a walking Wikipedia for anything Tbilisi. I randomly called him in the middle of shopping at a flea market for a super obscure item, and he almost immediately named a couple of places I could go to get it. I didn't get the opportunity to meet him much, but when I did bump into him, he always seemed like a very pleasant man. And he's super approachable and available. Really hope to visit Georgia again since there is much left to be seen, and when I do I hope to stay here again (maybe in colder times!)
