Hotel LIVVO Valle Taurito & Aquapark

Location is extremely beautiful. That’s about the only positive thing I have to say regarding this resort. From our arrival we were handed small child sized sandwich bags and sent to our rooms by two very fed up looking Reception staff. Everything just went downhill from here. Arrived in our room to realise I had to share a sofa bed with my son… who is 16 years old. This wasn’t what was sent to us upon booking. Huge mistake to query this in the first instance. The receptionists weren’t helpful at all. The manager hated us right away and made it extremely obvious she wasn’t interested in helping. She made every effort to avoid talking to us. Called Jet2 resort staff, they seemed to not know what to do so I was passed around in the hope someone else could ‘deal’ with us. The Aircon in the room sounded like we had a struggling motorbike next to our pillows. There was no lounge as this is used for you to sleep in. Just awful The hotel is being taken over and due to this some members of staff don’t really care much about you or your stay. Food was less than mediocre, served pretty much the same menu every day only for the leftovers to be remixed the next day and be called something different. The rooms are indeed dated and need a retesh. It’s wrong to falsely advertise this mediocre accommodation as a 3 star, I personally don’t agree and will not be back here. Other hotels in this area seem to care a bit more than this one so I wouldnt waste my money with them. Jet2 haven’t listened to any of our complaints and either did the hotel. We’ve now been back for over a week. I’ve logged so many complaints and still not heard one thing from jet2. I would say avoid until they change ownership. The new owner will hopefully care a bit more.

The hotel in general was lovely, located in a beautiful area and had plenty to do at the resort. As we arrived to check in, the check in desk had a long queue of people, it took over an hour to finally get checked in. There was only one person on reception at the time so maybe another staff member would benefit the speed and ease of checking in. It was very late and after a long day it would have been nice to have had a little easier and faster check in process. The room was a great size, reasonably clean but could do with a bit of TLC here and there. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but I have a bad back so might just be preference. My husband found the beds fine. Lovely view from our balcony of the resort and mountains. The food for an all inclusive buffet was better than expected. Always found something we would eat and it was of good standard. Plenty of variety. Can be a bit repetitive at times but for all inclusive buffet food probably one of the best I’ve had on a holiday. The soft drinks were branded and can help yourself to. I’m not a big drinker so can’t comment too much on alcoholic drinks. The pool snack bar I would avoid the burgers, they were not cooked or edible but hotdogs seemed ok. The pools were lovely and the water park was always busy and many seemed to enjoy it. They had an arcade on resort too, some shops and you can walk to the beach within a few minutes. This hotel is definitely very family orientated and you don’t really need to leave the resort if you don’t want to. But if you want to explore I’d definitely recommend Puerto Rico. Overall the stay was pleasant, different experience to others holidays we’ve been on as a family. I’d definitely come back here and feel that some of the reviews I’ve seen I don’t think seem fair and I think are about the 3 star hotel opposite run by the same people.

I stayed at the Valle for 9 nights with my cousin and 4 children between us in 2 separate rooms at the start of July. I can genuinely say we had such a fabulous time. We read the reviews pre arrival and to be completely honest, we didn't know if we'd made the wrong decision but within 24 hours of being at the hotel I couldn't fathom what all the negativity was all about! Don't get me wrong it's not 5* but that's not what we paid for or expected. The hotel is set in such a beautiful area, it was so lovely to wake up to the views. The rooms, hotel and grounds were all spotless and cleaned daily along with the towels being changed. The restaurant was good. We ate lamb chops, steak, fajitas, currys, ribs. There's plenty of veg, fresh salads, fresh omelette and Pancakes in the mornings, plenty of fresh fruit and desserts. The only con was there was not food specifically for the children. Although, they found something they liked on every meal - I suppose it depends on how fussy they are. The pool was well maintained. And yes the lifeguards are like hawks but we were happy about that given that our children and many others spent most of their time in the pool. I've researched loads of hotels and most with only 1 pool do not allow big inflatables etc. Although I will say our 2 youngest were allowed their rubber rings and/or Armbands at all times. The beach is a 5 minute walk and it was so beautiful, we hired beds for the day and ate and drunk at the beach restaurants on the front which were reasonably priced. The water park was excellent, the older kids aged 10 and 16 used this more than our youngest. The salt water didn't cause any issues and it was good to have just outside the hotel. The entertainment I can see being a contentious issue with some - for us it wasn't a bother as we are not big drinkers and we were ready to go up to our rooms by 10.30 as we're up early. The kids disco starts at 8.15pm and act starts at 9pm and it all ends at 10pm. I thought it was a bit early for a holiday resort, and not only that seen as its shared with other hotels a. It could've had more money ploughed into it with bigger shows on until later and b. There could've been more seating. Like I said this wasn't an issue for us, the kids used the arcades and trampolines etc at the top then we strolled back. But this would be a con for some. We took a taxi to Puerto Rico for a day at 15 euros each way which was lovely and we also went into Mogan for the Friday Market which was around the same price - if you go, make sure you go for 9am. By 11am its boiling and absolutely rammed. Mogan was really good though and there's some nice shops there too. The hotel overall exceeded our expectations considering alot of reviews were dyer. It's set in such beautiful surroundings and it feels safe as the cove is specifically for the hotels around you. I paid 2 grand for 9 nights for 1 adult 2 children (16,7) - say flights for argument sake around £500 give or take, then transfe

Cleaners steal jewellery , glass is unsafe especially for children and the food is terrible also the staff are very rude

If you are coming with your family then this isn’t the hotel for you, lifeguards won’t let the children play with any inflatables, balls, water guns, they spend more time telling the children off than they do their own job. The rooms are okay, nothing amazing we found the beds hard but the room was kept clean. The night entertainment was enjoyed by us all but didn’t last long. Overall we will not be coming back to this hotel, as the reason we came was so our children can have fun! And they just ended up bored. We went on plenty of days out with our children and they enjoyed the days out but not the hotel. The water park is saltwater so our children did not like spending a lot of time in here and the beach was okay, nothing special.

Hotel was clean, rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towels,. Staff friendly 👌 pool area was lovely but kids are not allowed to play with toys or bigger rings !!! Very strict Waterpark was 😍 👌 entertainment team was amazing, putting a lot of effect. Kids loved the kids club and disco ❤️ didn't miss any day of it Food was very poor of choice, small selection, display was terrible, for such a lovely hotel this part should be definitely upgraded makes a lot of difference to it !!! I would definitely come back but please do something about the dinning area 🙏
