Princess Taurito

The hotel is located in nice quiet alcove outside the busy areas of the other towns in Gran Canaria. It faces a public beach, which is easily accessible, but does not have a beach of its own. The facilities are wonderful, clean and capable of hosting the hundreds of tourists that descend upon the hotel in winter. The pools are large and the gym is well equipped. The kids club and animation are adequate, but I have seen better. The food spread is huge and the quality is good, but it tends to be bland and not sufficiently spiced. Overall I would rate it 8/10 and would consider visiting again.

This is a really nice hotel. Clean, friendly staff, excellent rooms, great food. Only thing that could be improved is the entertainment for children. We travelled in a group of 8 with a 9 month old, a 2 year old, a 3 year old and a 4 year old. We had a great time Rooms We paid extra for the Esencia suite. Think it was an extra £70(ish) when we booked on Tui. Definitely worth it. You get a spacious room, premium alcohol, bottled water, your own pool area, a la carte dinner and the choice to have breakfast and dinner in The One restaurant. Though I’m not a fan of hotels ‘segregating’ guests. Food Excellent. People complaining about variety/quality must have a palate of a toddler. I supposed the food would get repetitive if you eat chips, burgers and pizza every day. Drinks All good. Staff Excellent and friendly. Location Next to a waterpark (cheap and cheerful) and a beach. Few hotels around with a mini ‘strip’. Mainly British guests so depends what you prefer. Can get a bus into town. Visit Amadores beach if you can. Enteraintment Only thing that lets this place down. The team do try but there’s not much in the day time. Evening was quiye enjoyable. Kids’ entertainment could be improved a lot. Nothing on in the day time and a mini disco in the evening. There is a indoor play area that opens for 2 hours, twice a day. Big ball pit and different toys/games to use. Kids enjoyed it. You must stay with your child whilst they’re in there. There’s a Tui club but only for German guests (Tui’s decision). There is a kids pool with a slide and splash pad which is nice. Sunbeds Not allowed ro reserve and leave before 10am. Good policy though some flexibility would be a appreciated. I had 3 kids with me one morning and couldn’t carry everything. Left the pram downstairs to come and collect a few moments later but the staff member patroling told me off and said it “wasn’t his problem”. Could do with a bit of courtesy. Overall, enjoyable stay. A week was enough, 2 weeks would have been a stretch. We’d return if the kids’ programme was better.

Great hotel, rooms were lovely and food was great, Entertainment not great kids disco good, just a stupid complaint but our cleaner never gave enough toilet roll or coffee sachets. Such a minor thing but little things make a difference. Overall great Hotel Clean and Staff in Restaurant Great.
