Dar Al Hossoun

Beautiful gardens, stylish rooms, a wonderful welcome and delicious breakfasts. Went with a friend in May 23, easy to get taxis to the local souk and plenty of good-natured haggling to be done. Quiet and relaxing at night. Staff were very helpful and we were very well looked after.

Our high hopes for Dar al Hassoun were actually exceeded in this wonderful hotel, hidden behind mud walls a few miles from Taroudant. It is a magical place, with characterful rooms and suites scattered across interconnected gardens full of trees and cactus sourced from far and wide. Alongside the larger pool is a comfortable lounge area serving snacks and pre-dinner drinks. The food was delicious. Everything worked, from the hot showers to the air conditioning and blackout curtains to the free wi-fi. The staff were unfailingly smiling and helpful. The continuous birdsong was interrupted by the cries of the peacocks and the greetings from the happy cats.

First class experience in this very beautiful place. The gardens are remarkable and deservedly celebrated. Staff are attentive, unfailingly helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant is excellent. A wonderful experience to stay here

Beautiful oasis and hidden gem; stunning botanical gardens, excellent accommodations, phenomenal French -Moroccan food, and the staff are over the top wonderful. Not many hotels are memorable but this one certainly is. Worth a visit and use it as an exploration point for the local area, atlas mountains, Atlantic coast, and sahara.

We stayed her for two nights on an epic.travel (highly recommended) tour of Morocco. For me it was an awesome place to stay. Our room, a suite was very privately situated with private terrace and huge bathroom, all very tastefully decorated with lovely Arian oil products to use. The position and buildings are delightful but it is the gardens that make this place a knockout. Developed over nearly 20 years they’re stunning with hidden corners, two pools and amazing array of cactus. The restaurant and eating areas are also very cute and beautifully lit at night. We found the food ok and that is not to say it was bad, but it just did not fit with our own tastes. The chef is clearly trying to be inventive and sometimes keeping it simple is a better option IMO. The breakfast was a little underwhelming too and on the second day we were clearly served the left over baked goods from the previous day as they were stale. However, this is nitpicking to a degree and can be easily sorted, so it does not lose a point because of it. All in all a wonderful hidden oasis of calm for anyone wanting to check out the charms of Taroudant.

Fabulous place to stay, a real gem. Lovely staff, very comfortable rooms and a gorgeous garden. The pool was very warm and was a great place to relax. The birds sang beautiful songs in the trees! The food & service were excellent.

What a wonderful experience we’ve at staying at this stunning eco lodge. The service was outstanding, delicious food, wonderful tour of Taroudant and the rooms are exquisitely decorated and very comfortable. Magical gardens and the most wonderful pool. We hope to visit again but in the meantime we will treasure the memory of our stay and this fabulous hotel. Thank you so much to everyone at Dar Al Hossoun for your hard work and kindness.

A little piece of Moroccan paradise! I cannot praise the staff enough, from the minute we arrived we were greeted by such warm hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble! The building and garden itself it’s immaculately kept and bedrooms are comfortable and very stylish. Special mention to Yassine and Amin (apologies if I have spelt anyone’s name incorrectly) always smiling and so helpful. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!
