Maison d'hôtes Dar Farhana

Wonderful stay ! Beautiful property that is so relaxing and homely. From the first contact about availability to leaving we left feeling so welcome, nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. Beautiful breakfast and superb meal on an evening all with tremendous service. Rooms comfortable and felt very authentic and had a great shower . Plenty of space to just sit and relax and lovely roof terrace that provides great view of sunrise over the hills. Wouldn't hesitate in staying there again. Thanks everyone at Dar Farhana for a wonderful experience.

A lovely Riad which takes a bit of finding if you don’t have an electronic map. It is in a very unprepossessing street and has an unprepossessing exterior. However don’t be put off. Once through the front door you are in a little bit of paradise. Lots of shrubs and trees and a very pretty swimming pool and cleverly arranged seating areas. The hosts are charming and provided an excellent evening meal and breakfast. The rooms are simply furnished but comfortable and there is a nice roof terrace. There is free parking immediately opposite the hotel.

An absolutely lovely place to stay in the city of Ouarzazate. Located probably about seven minutes from the downtown area, it does have parking spots available for guests. The hotel is an oasis with an interior garden and a beautiful swimming pool available. Breakfast was excellent and served promptly at 9 o’clock. Dinner at the hotel was available if ordered in advance. Mohammed met us and was extremely helpful and kind throughout our visit. He was great. The rooms were very comfortable, everything worked. There were several terrace areas where you could sit and read. Definitely a place I would stay at again.

We were disappointed with our stay having read previous reviews. The Dar is located about 3km away from Ouarzazate. It is located down a maze of unpaved residential streets. There is nothing of interest in the vicinity of the Dar. The room was very small, there was very little storage and access to electrical outlets limited. The lighting level was low and yet it was too bright for sleep in the morning with no curtains on one of the windows. The bathroom was not good. The tap at the wash hand basin was much too hot. The water continuously collected around the sink. The shower almost overflowed into the bedroom and we had to remove the drain cover to stop this. There was not enough hot water for the 4 of us to shower. The toilet also seemed to be leaking at the end of our stay. On a positive note the interior garden is very pretty and there are turtles there. The pool was lovely, our children very much enjoyed their swim but I didn’t feel comfortable to use it as there were male staff constantly lurking around. The breakfast and dinner were very good. Lovely breakfast selection. If you stay we would all recommend having dinner which was very tasty. A plentiful tagline of lemon chicken with other tasty courses. The staff organised a taxi for us to and from the town one night for dinner which was very helpful and appreciated. Overall this place was not what we expected and unfortunately I would not particularly recommend staying here.

Dar Farhana Is a very quiet place with an excellent service. Abdul was very kind and always aware to make our stay nice and easy. The rooms were very nice, well decorated and vey clean. We also had dinner there and we enjoyed a lot. For sure, we'll go back there.

This is the most hospitable place I have ever stayed. The staff is wonderful and Ouarda is extremely helpful and accommodating. The food is fresh and they provide you with everything you need to be comfortable. I slept so well here after traveling for over one month. The garden and courtyard area is so lovely. I was having difficulties booking my flight from here to Casablanca online, and Ouarda did everything she could to help me, including taking me into town to convert my cash and then to the airport so that I could book directly with the airline there. I am so grateful to have chosen this sweet Riad and highly recommend anyone stay here if they’re staying in Ouarzazate. These people treat you like family and are so pleasant.
