Tarcutta Halfway Motor Inn

IF & WHEN you take a trip up north from Melbourne and your heading up the HUME HWY. Do yourself a favor and have a rest at the HALFWAY MOTOR INN in Tarcutta Beds are soft and welcoming. lots of parking right out the front of your room, the place is nice and Quiet. My first time staying at the place, I was heading to Sydney was nice to stop for the night. Did the same on the way back well worth it thanks for being in the right spot for a stay. OK Longer story short, I picked up a $40 Phone charger while in Sydney, left it in the Motel Room !! . They where SO very kind to let me know what I had done, I would not have known for a LONG time, they where SO kind to send it back to me & I was please to get it back. MANY thanks to them for going to the trouble of doing that.. I will have no problem staying there again when heading that why again.. SO again if your heading that way have a break at the HALFWAY IN in Tarcutta.

Stayed here on our Victorian trip and was real happy we did. It is a family run business and the property is well looked after. The room we had had a queen bed A/C Toaster, Kettle. tea/Coffee making facilities. Bathroom with ensuite. Parking is directly out front of room and units are well back off the main road. There is a restaurant on site that serves great home cooked meals at a reasonable price. Would stay here again if passing through the area.

Recently stayed here on our way back from Melbourne. Excellent value for money with friendly, welcoming owners. An older style motel with quite small rooms. But very clean , with really comfortable beds and soft, quality linen. We were travelling with our dog and she was allowed to stay in our room with us which was a bonus. ( The motel has 2 pet friendly rooms with a small extra charge of $ 10.00 per night for dogs.) Lovely gardens, with beautiful rose bushes and extensive grounds with a large variety of fresh seasonal herbs and vegies growing. The owner uses these in her home cooked meals. A limited menu but the food we ordered was so fresh and delicious, with generous portions. We highly recommend the Lamb and Spinach Flatbread and Chicken and Corn Burritos ! Their Restaurant is currently closed due to Covid safety protocol so our dinner was delivered to our room. We have stayed at the Halfway Motor Inn a few times now and would definitely choose to stay again if we ever need to drive down to Melbourne in the future.
