TUI BLUE Playa Feliz

We had a fabulous weeks break at the Playa Feliz. Hotel was clean, room was lovely. The bar staff at the pool bar especially one, really made it, very friendly, great with the kids and so friendly. The waiter staff in the Playa feliz restaurant were just fab. They doted on my little boy and really helped in situations where he was becoming unsettled or restless - the chef was amazing! made him a lovely dinosaur out of fruit and vegetables which he was just a amazed at. Kids club’ staff were fantastic. My youngest was a little worried to begin with but by day 3, he loved it (he’s even asked to go now, when at home!). Our 7 year old LOVED the hotel, kids club, the slides, everything & made a friend while we were away. Entertainment team were outstanding, we’ve done TUI blues before but the entertainment stood out here - they really work so hard and deserve a huge pay rise! As we were leaving, one lady (I have forgotten here name, forgive me!) came over for a chat on her day off, hugged me and waved us off, just unmatched customer interaction. Bamse & Captain T came round often and this made our little boys holiday. The hotels location was lovely. Seafront, rather than beachfront. We were lucky to have a room next to the pool and we sat at night listening to the ocean. Food was slightly not to our taste but we always found something to eat. I really cannot fault it. Will return.

First of all, there was a lot of negativity for this hotel in reviews I read, this was concerning but don't let it put you off. We had a great time and the hotel is lovely. There are a lot of positives, but some things to be aware of before booking. The hotel is made up of 4 hotels, Playa Feliz, Tres Vidas, Las Pitas and then Orquidia. The Orquidia is the main hotel which has 2 large pools and a splash park for children and/or babies. It also has the entertainment which is indoors with a large stage, a bar and also a snack bar within. All of this is included in your inclusive stay at Playa Feliz. Tres Vidas and Las Pitas do not have their own pool and use the facilities at Orquidea - yes it does get busy there! However, Playa Feliz has it's own pool which opens at around 8.30 but there was one cleaner who was very strict about no one going on beds until 9am. But other than this, it is much more chilled and no mad rush for sunbeds, plenty of space and plenty of parasols (which are non-moveable). It also has it's own snack bar where you can get food, coffee, beer, soft drinks but additionally has a manned bar too. The snack bar offered limited choice of food and I would have liked to see them offer more simpler foods for the kids like nuggets, sausage, burgers. The food here is ok, it gets put out and regularly checked on, so is not amazing but ok for something quick to eat if you don't want to go elsewhere. We went to Orquidia, for the snack bar up there most days and this offered a lot more, freshly made chicken burgers, toasties etc. The accomodation at the Playa Feliz was lovely, rooms 1-40 are ground level appartments and are very close to the pool (I mean the front door to the pool edge was 10-15metres away), this was great as we could pop back and fore so easily whenever we needed to. The rooms were lovely and clean, Aircon worked well. The room had 2 single beds pushed together in the back bedroom and then the (large) couch had a slide out bed underneath it. Kitchen had a fridge, microwave and cupboards filled with plates and cutlery etc - everything you may need. Rooms were cleaned every other day unless asked but when we did ask, it was no problem at all and the job they did cleaning was very good. I did notice that the Playa Feliz is made up of about 200 apartments, not all of these are holidaymakers, there are quite a few privately owned it seemed, no issues with this but something I have never seen before ina TUI blue resort. The hotel had low key entertainment in the day but there were things going on. This included water polo, character poolside walks, water aerobics and Aqua board yoga which is a lot more fun to watch than it is to do! There was also a lot going on in the Orquidia but the pools were much busier. The was a foam party which we went to and it was great fun. Complex is well kept. Apts are cleaned daily . Towels replaced daily. Bed linen changed weekly. Large pool plenty of loungers. Bus stop outside complex to North and South. Nice restaurants nearby. Can use amenities at nearby hotel. No entertainment or drinks in complex at night. People go to Plaza nearby or hotel. Pool towels available. Beds are comfortable. Staff are friendly and maintain complex to a high standard. Spar nearby have a good supermarket and Deli.

The hotel is ok, seems well maintained although some of the tiles around the pool area were broken and uneven. Being season end it felt a little tired from a hard summer season. Watch out for the pool towel exchange date and time, this is policed with draconian authority miss the time and they won’t change them! We where swamped with ＜5 year olds in the adult pool, wasn’t quiet the off peak chilled experience we where looking for! Probably wouldn’t go again - but was ok

Lovely side hotel connecting with the main hotel Orquidea Arrived late in the evening and was greeted with milk sandwiches fruit etc for our 2 young children which was lovely. We stayed in room 36 which was perfect a stone throw away from the pool and breakfast area, we stayed all inclusive Room - spacious plenty of storage space kitchenette lounge double bed and a pull out bed, very clean, shower was lovely and hot (English TV) which was great too! Pool - lovely little shaded pool for little ones and large pool for other very clean This hotel is connected to the main hotel therefore for lunch and dinner also entertainmemt we had to go there but its just a short walk through a lane and the hotel Orquidea is outstanding!!! Everything you need for little ones parks, TUI staff, games, x3 pools just wow kids will not get bored... the daily kids programme is amazing hotel is beautiful food is delicious too... There was only 1 small thing that in my opinion was a little let down and that was this hotel does NOT have a beach, its states beach but its not great for kids its pebbly and very little sand you cannot go in the sea with children as it very dangerous so if you like a beach then this hotel does not have one suitable for children, we took a taxi to San Antigua which was black sand very hot and again not suitable for children which we were gutted but outer children were entertained with the facilities within the hotel. Lovely place if you want the children to be entertained all day, very clean and food was lovely well done TUI Blu you have a wonderful place and we will see you soon Dan, Kel and the girls x

I fell ill when I was there the TUI reps were fantastic brought me food drinks and wouldn’t even let me pay because I couldn’t get out got me a doctor and to a hospital I thanked God for their help and support they made sure that I had everything I could possibly needed
