Valamar Camping Lanterna

As a family we have stayed in many European resorts like this but none as big as Lanterna. We stayed with Roan in Zone B with the caravan being OK but not great. The decking had been built around a tree which meant that the sofa area wasn’t useable for us as a family of 5. The site has a cluster of small pools which, given the number of people on site, means that it is impossible to swim in them. We have always enjoyed participating in beach volleyball, water polo etc but that wasn’t possible with the activities seemingly limited to 1 hour from 8pm to 9pm and sometimes not even that. On one occasion our son was turned away which left him disappointed as he had walked the 15 walk to get there from our caravan. There were some good points such as Wi-Fi which worked well everywhere (blessing given the lack of other activities to occupy our teenagers) and mostly friendly staff in bars/restaurants but not enough to balance the other shortfalls for me. We had a great couple of days away in Mreznica and Plitvice which were our highlights During our 2 weeks away. Thanks for all the good things Lanterna but I don’t think we will be back.

Great experience…Lanterna Premium Camping Resort is great for camping and family camping.Great place to spent great time.Full shade and nature pitches are great…Sanitary facilities are big, great and clean..Central park and piazza are beautiful….

Beautiful place, amazing things to do for kids, clean apartment and very friendly staff, such as Magdalena who was very kind to us! Thank you, we will definitely come again very soon to experience more. The kids simply loved the variety of beaches, pools and playgrounds. See you soon :)!

Huge huge site but only about 10% occupied on our visit. Very good facilities and very clean. We got lucky by asking for a quiet pitch away from facilities and got a sea view pitch one row back. Access to this pitch (A029) would be v tricky in peak season and several others very tight for large motorhomes but once you're on the pitches are a good size. Great wifi and discounted fees by joining their loyalty scheme.

We had great time. Overall everything is 10 out of 10, but especially pool lady Jadranka is known for her exceptional service and attention to detail at the pool. She goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay. Her dedication and friendly demeanor truly enhance the overall experience for visitors.

We had the best time at Laterna Camping Resort. My husband and I travelled with our 4 year old daughter. The site is perfect for families including a kids club, playgrounds, multiple pools, shops, and easily accessible sandy and pebble beaches. Our daughter loved it and we did too. The site is really well cared for and we loved the village feel with multiple restaurants, bars and cafes. We stayed in a Eurocamp lodge which was immaculately clean and the reps were friendly and helpful. We hired a car but barely used it as there was so much to see and do at the site, and there was a regular boat to Novigrad. We highly recommend the daily boat to Novigrad which can be caught at the sandy beach and is reasonably priced (7 euros one way). It's a really pretty coastal town. There are a few negative comments on here which we can't understand and some are misinformation e.g. that there are steep steps to the beach: this is incorrect, whilst one way of accessing the beach is via steps, the beach is also easily accessible via a gentle ramp which makes it great if taking pushchairs. The beach was beautifully clean and the sea was warm and clear. We highly recommend holidaying at Laterna, we are booking to stay again next year!
