Casa Turchetti

It's hard to know where to start with this review, as our experience was quite simply perfect. Casa Turchetti is the definition of a 'hidden gem' and we are so happy we found it. You can't beat the location which can also be enjoyed from the stunning terrace with magnificent views of the bay, Etna and the famous Piazza IX Aprile. We enjoyed the terrace at different times of the day, whether in the day to sunbathe or in the evening for drinks (which were delicious). The hotel is beautifully traditional and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was the best we had during our 2 week trip around Sicily. The best part of the hotel though, without a doubt, are the owners Francesca and Pino. They are such special, kind, warm, beautiful people who genuinely want their guests to have the best time possible. The feeling they create is pure magic. Casa Turchetti exceeds all expectations. Pino and Francesca are the most welcoming of hosts and nothing is too much for them. The rooftop breakfast is a wonderful experience, the selection of fruits, pastries and home made cakes are excellent. Our room was beautifully appointed in a traditional Sicilian style and a very comfortable bed. The location of the hotel is central to the Casa Umberto but is far enough away to be quiet at night. We would not consider staying anywhere else in Taormina. Mike and Amanda

This accommodation is in the perfect location off of Corso Umberto. This location makes it is easy to access everything in Taormina. Not only is the location perfect but the staff that run this place are some of the most authentic and genuine people. A wife and husband own and run the hotel. They truly want their guests to have the best stay possible. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast that is served daily is delicious and provides a multitude of options. If you’re looking to book a stay, this is the place to be at!

Believe the reviews.... This is one of the best boutique hotels that we have EVER stayed in. The hotel is situated perfectly, right at the centre of Taormina. The rooms are beautifully finished with classy decoration, and lovely touches that retain the building's history. The breakfast is absolutely to die for, with local produce, fruit, and delicious home baked cakes. Oh my goodness... the terrace where breakfast is served is incredible. Stunning coastline, the Greek amphitheatre, Etna smoking, and beautiful hillside behind. I still can't believe how good it was (and Aperol in the evening was equally spectacular, literally drinking in the view). If that wasn't enough, the thing that sets this hotel above all others is the people. Pino and Francesca make you feel like family, and their daughters are so warm and friendly. Also every morning we were greeted by the lovely "Joosy" (I've definitely spelled that wrong). You feel like nothing is a problem and that they would do anything for you. Casa Turchetti is absolutely wonderful and we are so glad we had the good fortune to stay there (my wife and teenage daughter). Please do believe the reviews and try and book there. I can guarantee you won't regret it ;)

My sister and I recently hit the jackpot when we booked our stay at Casa Turchetti! It is truly one of the VERY BEST B&Bs that I’ve stayed at any place in the world- and I’ve stayed at many during the past 50 years! There were so many little touches that made the room, the location, our breakfast and our hosts fabulous! And for fellow celiac-sufferers out there, breakfast (served on the huge terrace overlooking the ocean, the town, and Mt. Etna) was wonderful: bacon and eggs, orange juice, lots of fresh fruit (the Sicilian mango was awesome!), gluten-free toast, cappuccino, and wonderful homemade jams/marmalades (and beautiful pastries for those without celiac). The room had a wonderfully comfortable bed, a little sitting area with couch, lots of storage space, a mini-refrigerator, lovely toiletries, lush bath towels, and bathrobes and slippers! All of the comforts of home were there in this beautiful old structure. Our hosts Flavia and her parents, Pino and Francesca, are a great family and so very pleasant and accommodating. After a few days we felt like we were family! You’ll be very lucky if you can secure a reservation at Casa Turchetti; you won’t be disappointed!

Staying at Casa Turchetti was like being with family. The owners are so warm and welcoming. The room had everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was wonderful and the view from the terrace is spectacular. The location is perfect. I highly recommend this place.

A beautifully restored space run by the nicest couple you could imagine. The location is great. The breakfast is wonderful and served on a terrace with spectacular views. The terrace is also the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine after sightseeing.

On our arrival, Francesca welcomed us to Casa Turchetti. This place is beautiful! The rooms are equipped with everything you need. Comfortable beds and Pillows. I can’t even describe the beautiful floors, you have to see for yourself. Imagine having cappuccino and breakfast on the rooftop while looking at the view. Or, a glass of wine while looking at the sea and the sunset over Mt Etna. Francesca, Pino and Flavia were so helpful. They suggested the best restaurants for us. Helped with anything we needed. They even packed us breakfast for our early morning checkout. They made us feel like family. The location is perfect if your staying in Taormina.

We all just loved it. It was like staying with family. We were a family of 5 and had 2 rooms - the large Academy suite and the Flute room. We loved every minute. The lovely and kind owners, Pino and Francesca restored this old school into one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The rooms maintained the character of the building with stone walls, tiled floors and the most beautiful embroidered white bed linen. The beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in with down duvets and down pillows. Breakfast and cocktail hour was on the most stunning 360 view roof top terrace. You could see Mt Etna, the greek theatre, Castelmola and the sea. Just incredible sunsets with the best limoncello spritz!! Breakfast was fruit, pancakes, meats and cheeses and the most delicious apple cake I have ever had. Thank you Pino, Francesca and Flavia for your generous and kind hospitality. We adored our stay.
