The Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle is one of the most incredible properties I have ever stayed at. Breathtaking location and views, an amazing beach, well-maintained grounds, lots of activities, and of course the signature Anantara breakfast that quite frankly eliminates the need for lunch, it's so varied and filling. We loved our experience at the Anantara and will most definitely be back. Two employee compliments I wish to give: one is our host Thisari, who was super-efficient and courteous, and helped us with restaurant suggestions/reservations, answering our question on the bill and recommendations for sightseeing. She made our stay so much better. Second is Gulwant Singh, the fantastic Indian Chef at the coffee shop who not only made one of the best Indian-style masala omelets I've had but also came out and chatted with us/made suggestions during dinner, which was much appreciated. Such employees are to be complimented for their service. Only one issue I would like to point out: at breakfast, the outdoor tables were constantly at risk of being "attacked" by birds who would swoop down and pick unattended food from your plate in an instant. I appreciate that this is a nature preserve, but some solution would be very helpful (for example, nets to cover the food while you're away at the buffet). I saw at least one instance of this every single morning while we dined there, thankfully not with us, but we eventually gave up and started eating indoors, which was a pity. Other than this, a perfect stay. Highly recommend it!
