This place is a really mixed bag. I stayed in the female dorm and the room itself was ok. There was a super uncomfortable sofa in there but it was ok. The problem was the bathroom. There was one toilet with a shower in it. This was for the boys and the girls dorm to share as well as the staff using it, so if you needed to use the loo desperately you were out of luck. The shower was also not enclosed so the toilet seat and floor was soaking wet about 1/3 of the time and there was no hot water for the 3 days I was there. The guy who worked at reception was also very loud and practically yelled when he answered the phone or talked to someone at night. The outside area was lovely with lots of seats and free tea and coffee was nice.
I'm sure it would be nice (if a bit loud)if you were booking a room with an ensuite but if you plan to stay in a dorm, the bathroom situation is awful and I wouldn't stay again.

The words of WOW ..really nice place & cheaper guesthouse around cameron..the garden with lights in night time mind blowing..I really enjoy plus relax..the staff so friendly..will help all the time..when you needed..highly recommended

What a fantastic guesthouse! I had such an amazing stay here! Affordable, great location, facilities and above all super nice and helpful staff. The owner, Jackie, is absolute legend! He helped me with everything possible (not just around Cameroon Highlands but also other places in Malaysia)! I really appreciate all the effort and kindness! Thank you so much! ☺️

The staff at this property saved from sleeping on the street on our first night in Tanah Rata due to a problem between the hotel we booked and the agent (the big "A"). We rolled up at about 10pm after dragging our luggage across town. Note: difficult to find taxi or Grab after 9pm. They gave us a room for the night but we stayed for 3. The staff were great, especially Elaine, who provided heaps of useful guidance and also organized our self-drive motorbike tour. She's a gem. The property is quiet and pleasant. Good public areas and grounds. Prices competitive. We had a double with private en-suite. Hot water was useful in this climate. Internet was a little unreliable. Didn't sleep well but that was mostly due to change in climate. Clean and sure to be a success, especially compared to our intended hotel.
