The Bearded Dragon Boutique Hotel

Arriving late in the day to the Tamborine area this hotel provided one of the few remaining rooms in the area (Easter holiday for locals) We were relieved to be able to get the last remaining room, and initially upon arriving thought the place was going to be nice as the landscaping looked beautiful. However once we got into our small and disappointing room and went inside it STUNK of incense, way to over powering, we wondered what they were trying to cover up. Then trying to sit outside and relax with a beverage a horrible stench of sewage is on the property. Not animal smells ( I live on a ranch and know the difference) In addition, the layout of the rooms allow people to sit outside their rooms but your very close to your neighbor and if they chose to smoke, guess what you get to breath that as well. Unfortunately we had been driving for hours and too tired to push on. The shower situation left us completely confused. You have to step into a large soaker tub without curtain or anything around the tub, but the shower head with handle is hanging from the wall, again no curtains, so how are you to shower and not get water everywhere. The stupidest set up we've ever seen. Dinner at the restaurant was expensive and terrible. No one around in the morning upon check out, we were told the restaurant didn't open for breakfast until 9:00 a.m. WHAT! We were anxious to get out of there and move on..........

5 x families with kids of varying ages , something for everyone young and old alike! Everyone had a great time so much to do in the area and a wonderful place to come back to and chill at the end of a busy day. Food was amazing

Outrageous prices. Do not recommend. Coke tasted like water. Pumpkin and fetta salad had maybe 3 tiny squares of fetta ( priced at almost $30 for the salad!) No dressing on the salad. 2 burgers cost $50 burgers looked like a McDonald’s cheese burger 0 taste so don’t get excited about your pub burger, very basic! Prices do not reflect quality at all. Cheese wasn’t included in the $24.90 burger and cost an additional $4!!! If you order a Cesar Salad be prepared to pay $33.00 if you want Chicken in it! Plenty of good pubs 10 mins from here save your money and go elsewhere. Price doesn’t reflect quality at all.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Dragon Hotel in Tamborine. The food was beautifully prepared using fresh, local ingredients, and the presentation was top-notch. The drink menu offered a great selection of beers, wines and cocktails, perfectly complementing the meal. The outdoor seating with views of the lush surroundings made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

Home Instead are a company who take seniors out for morning teas, and outings for socialization, the Bearded Dragon are always so accommodating and the food is lovely, they have animals for customers to interact with, I would suggest you go and have a wonderful drive out to a fantastic Hotel.

The most expensive Beer I have ever ordered!! We went for lunch on Sunday 14.4.24 and ordered 2 x the Go Greek Lamb Souvlaki Plate from the Specials board at $36 per plate expecting a Chef's Special. After 30 minutes the food arrived and was put on the table opposite us, where another couple had only arrived minutes earlier. We spoke to the waitress and asked if that was Souvlaki as we had ordered 2 and perhaps that was ours? No, we were told it wasn't so food was taken back to the kitchen, then returned to us about 10 minutes later saying, yes it was ours. By then, the lamb was cold of course, so I asked for a fresh plate. 30 minutes later a fresh plate (or it was supposed to be) arrived and the lamb and potatoes were again cold. My husband was starving and started eating so we ate our cold plates (shouldn't have as it was pretty disappointing) My husband then went to the bar and got a Corona, when he returned he realised he'd been charged $13.50 for one Corona!! At $60 per carton, that's $354 they're getting per carton of Corona for goodness sake!! Make a profit but $8- $9 per corona is what you usually pay anywhere. Anyway, we won't be back here. Despite the waitress listening to our complaints, no offer of another free lunch or refund of anything was offered. For a Country Pub, this was one of the most expensive places we have eaten at EVER and we dine out 3-4 days every week. In Summary the total cost was 2 x Souvlaki at $36 each - $72, bottle of wine $37, Corona $13.50 - total for 1 x table $122.50 and the table was wobbly. Even the fish and chips were $32.50 - way, way overpriced menu for what you're getting. I do not recommend this pub.
