Hotel - Motel Georges

The worst hotel we stayed in Canada and on top of that not even cheap. Rooms are smelly and noisy, bathroom, noisy, no kettle, no breakfast. Far too expensive. We paid 305 CAD. We regret any penny wasted in this place. We felt cheated and mistreated

I consider myself to be fairly well traveled. I have stayed at hotels and motels across the US, North and Central America and many countries in Europe. I do not consider myself to be picky or overly critical. After booking Motel Hotel George I did not have lofty expectations. Basically there was no other room in town so I set the bar low... well I should have lowered it even further. Hotel Motel George was the biggest dump I have ever stayed in. Yes, I was expecting Brady Bunch 1970's decor (I did see the pictures on their website) but I was not expecting the rest. First of all the owners did not speak English - which you could expect in French Quebec - but they didn't speak French either. I asked about/pointed at the little bar in the reception area. After shaking his head no I ascertained it was not open.... ever. There is a dumpy dining area off the reception area with dirty and worn puke green carpeting and dirty table clothes... like loaded with toast crumbs from the morning breakfast (which I found out the next day is for coffee/tea, cold cereal and white bread toasted with peanut butter or butter... thats it for 11.99! Or you can get a little styrofoam cup of coffee to go for only 2.50! Lol). We had asked if we could go in the room with our friends since the motel rooms were so god awful so we could play cards and have a drink we brought from our cooler. This was at about 6:40 pm. about 10 minutes later a woman (wife of owner?) came in and told us we had to leave, that they close at 7:00!! So we got out of the dump and went back to our even dumpier room. Additionally, there is not much in the immediate area to walk to unless you walk to the main town which is at least a 20 plus minute walk. And don' bother bringing your tennis court as there is no indoor tennis courts on property as advertised and the "adjacent" golf course is a good 10 to 15 minute drive! Do expect crappy internet, mold in the tiles in the bathroom, no locks on ground level windows, crummy tv channel selections and getting hassled by the ferry patrol when you try to get into the hotel parking lot as they think you are trying to skip the ferry line!

We are staying in this hotel for one night …Thank god . There are too many things wrong with this hotel to write, please do yourself a favour and keep on going it really is the pits. If I could give it no stars I would, it’s like a crumby 1970s hotel that has not been updated.

Nothing fancy but just fine. It is on the highway so if that's an issue ask for a room in the back. The owners are very nice and helpful. There is a lake behind the hotel that is great for swimming, shallow sandy bottom would be great for kids.

The hotel has a convenient location, with rooms on the second floor having a great view of the ferry and fiord. The stairs to the second floor are steep and there is no air conditioning in the room, therefore it can be very hot at night during hot days like those in July this year. The pillows are not great and overall the comfort level of the room is very limited.

Chambre ordinaire. Une serviette de bain pour 2 personnes. Je suis certaine que les draps n'ont pas étés changés ( plissés).et trouver un cheveux sur les draps. Ça ne donne pas le goût de se coucher er essayer de faire changer les draps, la personne est asiatique et ne comprend nullement le français...on abandonné le projet.

raramente recensisco. Lo faccio perché di fronte alla magnificenza, oppure per avvertire del degrado. questo è il caso dell'orrido. Una struttura vecchia e mal gestita e peggio dotata. se proprio dovete fermarvi, fatelo sapendo che equivale ad un esperienza pessima rispetto agli standard europei.

Hotel in posizione centrale e molto comodo per gli spostamenti. Accoglienza calorosa e grande disponibilità dei gestori, che sono molto carini e cortesi. Possibilità di consumsre i pasti nel giardino antistante. Lo consiglio vivamente!

Sale, deprimant, tres cher, bruyant face a la route et non au lac !!! avec des odeurs d essence qui remontent du garage attenant. canape lit total usagé sans matelas correct pour le prix exigé. A fuir sans compter d.etre accueilli par un.personnel mineur ....tres moyen
