Great property that exceeded expectations. Food and accommodations were as good as any five star resort I’ve stayed at. Golf course greens were perfect and the course layout was fun. Highly recommend for a big outing! Grab a beer at the founders pub post round

Been to Kiawah, Pebble Beach, and Pinehurst but the best overall experience is right outside of Sylacauga, AL at Purcell Farms. Friendly and helpful staff, great accommodations, and beautiful golf course makes for an awesome weekend. Highly recommended!!!

My husband an I visited for their marriage retreat, and it was worth every penny. The staff across the entire property is phenomenal. Everyone you meet on property is servant-hearted and they make even the simplest moments impactful. The property is beautiful, and this is truly a special place. There are many activities you can do and the food is also excellent.

Our time at Pursell Farms was incredible as always. I say “we” because this time, my wife and I had the opportunity to be part of a marriage retreat called “Abide”. This is a 12/10. Not only did we have 5-star amenities, but time to learn and grow!

Our visit to Pursell Farms for my father's 90th birthday was bittersweet. The sweetness was certainly the time together as a family, the beautiful location and accommodations and the wonderful staff. The bitterness was the food – a complete and utter disappointment that nearly ruined this special occasion. I hardly know where to begin to describe it: French onion soup which was inedible because it was so salty. A strawberry salad that was a mound of nothing but arugula as the base. A chopped cheese sandwich which was so tough it cut the rough of my mouth. Desserts for Easter Brunch that never arrived. Wines listed on the menu that weren't available and no Pinot Noir at all on the property and I could go on. It's a beautiful place, especially if you love golf, but unless they have changed the chef, don't go and waste your money. Take your own food or plan to eat out.

Incredible prosperity and incredible golf. Course was in great shape and we had a blast golfing, fishing, and shooting clays. The history of this property is really special and we enjoyed learning about it. Accommodations were great and staff was always friendly and helpful. Don’t pass on an opportunity to visit Pursell!
