Sugarbeat Eating House

Heading home from a family funeral four of us stopped at SugarBeat Eating House on the off chance of having a meal and breaking up a 2.5 hour journey. Parking was easy plentiful and free. The property and grounds are kept immaculately, the first impressions as you walk though the doors is one of calm and efficient. Even though we had not booked, we were able to be seated immediately and could choose our table. The menu options are very good and the explanation of each dish is clear and easy to follow. One of our party had received a work call which had to be taken, so the dish ordered for them was kept hot in the kitchen without us having to ask. This was the typical feel of the Eating House, nothing was too much trouble. The food I chose (Hunters Chicken and sweet potato fries with salad) was superb and I recommend it. Great to see there is a 2015 "4 in a bed" plaque is proudly displayed behind the bar. Very Friendly and if we are ever back in the area we will stop by again. Thank you for making a difficult day so much easier.

Went for sunday lunch with family to celebrate a birthday. Food was home cooked and delicious and service was excellent. Menu was varied and everything we ordered was superb and reasonable priced. Though the restaurant was busy it didn't feel crowded or noisy. Will definitely go again.

Really comfortable bed ..no road noise although on a busy road , so easy to find ! plenty of parking , very good food and menu is varied with lots of choice . ( Sugar Beat Sundae is Huge ) and the staff are really excellent especially Keiran and Georgia . Breakfast is very good and popular . Would thoroughly recommend

Very comfortable room. Staff really pleasant and helpful. We had an early start and they put a light breakfast in our fridge for us. Next to a busy road but no noise in the room. Very reasonable price too.

Not great for the business traveler. Breakfast not served until 09:00 isn’t workable when you have meetings to go to. Also worth noting that it is next to a busy road that gets noisy quite early. Service was ok, food was ok, no toilet paper in the room, when fed back was told there was a new cleaner.

Unfortunately this was my 3rd stay and was not good compared to my previous stays, there was a lot of noise from the room above, I believe staff accommodation twice I asked for if it could be sorted and it wasn't. The A/C then stopped working meaning I had to sleep with the window open and try to sleep with the constant road noise.

Went to breakfast on Sunday with 15 other friends. Everything was top quality Food, service, we even had our own dining room. Plenty of choice for everyone. The biggest breakfast is BIG and defeated 70% of those who ordered it. Not me,as I’ve eaten here before and knew what to expect. Will I return, of course. Well recommended

Too noisy by busy road, not the best of sleep. No milk in room. Food very good including breakfast.

Excelent food and great breakfast. Great value for money Accomadation downside a bit noisy as on the main road and our room at front of property. But would certainty stay again
