Travelodge Sunderland Central

Bedding not seem to fresh bathrooms toilet handle is not working i must admit my first stays in January was good thats the reason i decided to come back

Came.up to visit family and to bring me son up.to see his nan and grandad and spend time with my family

Be aware if you think you're going to a hotel, more like a hostel for homeless people. I know they need to be housed somewhere, but Travelodge should inform you when booking that they are housing homeless people to full paying customers, not cheap either. Travelodge have said in the past that they have no obligation to inform you, that's their rules, said it before when i complained about illegal immigrants being housed there , but the rules should change and they should inform you so the individual can then make an informed decision whether to book or not. But they just want to take your money upfront and ignore your complaints afterwards.

No sockets or usb connections next to the beds. Only one light switch next to one side of the bed so the other person could not switch off. The postage stamp TV was quite away from the bed so the other person had to sit up in bed to watch TV. Only one chair in the room when there as 2 people. The bathroom was so small the toilet bead right up against the door and the shower had a curtain which is not very hygienic

Brilliant overnight stay at this travelodge. Very pleasant receptionist greeted us on arrival. Room was huge and had a bath. It was a dated room but was soo comfortable and if they'd swapped the old plastic chair for one of the modern ones I wouldn't have noticed.

Well located hotel with easy car parking on site. Only a short walk into Sunderland town centre to get to the various shops / food places etc.
