Falkensteiner Balance Resort Stegersbach - Adults Only

We loved everything about the hotel: room, spa, fitness, food, personnel. However, one thing disturbed us quite a bit: one of 2 parking spot for disabled was constantly occupied by a car without a permission. I complained about this fact at the reception and I was told that car belongs to the director (Leitung). I asked them if they find this appropriate and demanded my complaint to be communicated further which sadly did not happen. The area is very quiet with not too many options to do, but great for walking, running, biking, and winetasting. Great for relaxing holidays.

On a perfect place the perfect hotel. Very clean. The restaurant was more Than perfect. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Congratulations for the Sous Chef! I recommended for couples, because is a very romantic place.

Lovely resort, staff extrmely attentive and quick, everything clean and stylish. Went for a few nights in summer, which is good, as it is quiet and the hotel is not small - (one of the) pools however is rather small... so would not want to be there when hotel is at capacity. Overall: amazing food (except lunch, mor ebelow), we got upgraded to a large suite with massive terrace, some complimantary sweets, bubbly, and a stocked minibar with softdrinks - all without fault and much appreciated. Would return and recommend without hesitation for a short break and with an offer on. The niggles - and for the price and 5 stars premium resort tag this knocks half a point off (which is not possible here so I took one point off): the lunch selection was strangely rather dire, few salads and some yoghurts and a few cold leftover-starters from dinner before (as such no issue), all good if you arrived at one p.m or shortly after (it goes til 4 p.m!) - the cold food was not replaced, and none of the nicer things were left, on all 3 days we had a look around 14:30. For the price and the masses of amazing food from dinner just puts a dent in the experience. Service struggled a bit too at lunch but was very friendly throughout. Other small stuff: massive room and terrace but not a single clothsline or similar outside on said HUGE terrace (or in bathroom?!) to hang wet bathing stuff. Terrace furniture rather worn and could have done with a wipe-down, one back brace of a chair broken off - just small things. For me compared to other resorts in the area: one pool (the cooler one) is small, gets busy quickly and not really there to swim. Look rather bigger in th ebrochure. Special mention: outside of Asia we have never experienced such attentive staff and service throughout - and the food in the evening was amazing. We felt very at home, it was quiet and we could relax well. Few easy to solve niggles which would make the hefty price tag much more bearable. We will return for sure as overall the experience was worth it. Thank you

It was such amazing get away for us as a group of friends. From the beginning to the end the staff was very helpful and nice. The culinary experience was delicate, especially the five course dinner with many options. The views of the greenery from the hotel just so relaxing. Spa is big and the pool is very warm. Thank you.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel and can recommend it to everyone. The location of the hotel was very quiet and relaxing, perfect for a relaxing break. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, I felt welcome straight away. The cuisine was fantastic and offered a wide range of delicious dishes. I was particularly impressed with the SPA area, which had high quality facilities and competent staff. All in all, I was completely satisfied and will definitely be back. There was really nothing negative to say.

Very nice hotel situated on top of a hill with great view. The Spa area is beautiful with two endless pools as well as great selection of Sauna options. Light linch is available in the afternoon as well. Dinner was great with friendly and competent staff. Same applies for the huge breakfast selection. We’ll be back for sure.

Nach reiflicher Überlegung habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, trotzdem diese Bewertung zu veröffentlichen. Anmerkung: uns wurde versprochen dass die Probleme gelöst werden und uns wurde ein Teil rückerstattet. Bei der Anreise wurde uns ein früher Check-in und später Check-out verbucht, was eine inkludierte Leistung wäre von dem Zimmer. Wir haben das zweitteuerste Zimmer (Spa-Suite mit Sauna, Zimmer Nummer 433). Service: Beim Frühstück habe ich darum gebeten, dass mein Besteck immer auf der linken Seite platziert wird, da ich Linkshänder bin. Am ersten Abend hat das Personal dies berücksichtigt, doch am zweiten Abend nicht mehr (musste ich es selbst erledigen, während das Personal zuschaute). Zudem empfand ich das Servicepersonal im Restaurant als arrogant und unfreundlich. Nach der ersten Nacht habe ich am Abend ein anderes Kissen über das iPad angefordert, jedoch habe ich dieses nicht erhalten und wurde anscheinend ignoriert. Das Zimmer: Es gab Schimmel- und Schmutzablagerungen, wie auf den Fotos zu sehen ist. Eine Steckdose war defekt und vier Deckenlampen im Badezimmer funktionierten nicht. Die Waage war kaputt (wurde ersetzt), es gab keinen Wasserkocher und keine Teebeutel im Zimmer, auf Nachfrage wurde mir diese dann zur Verfügung gestellt. Wellnessbereich: Das Wasser in den beiden Außenpools war mit 34-35°C etwas zu kühl für mich, besonders da es draußen noch kälter war. Im Wellnessbereich löste sich Putz von der Decke, im Saunabereich war eine Dusche gesperrt und eine weitere kaputt, aber nicht abgesperrt. Ich frage mich, wie solche Mängel in einem Fünf-Sterne-Hotel der Falkenstein-Kette möglich sind. Selbst in einem drei-Sterne-Hotel in Kroatien habe ich noch nie so etwas gesehen. Als erfahrener Reisender muss ich sagen, dass mich diese Erfahrung als Kunde enttäuscht hat und ich das Vertrauen in das Fünf-Sterne-Hotel Falkenstein verloren habe.

Wunderschöner Wellnessbereich, sehr gutes Essen, auch für Veganer sehr empfehlenswert, schöne geräumige Zimmer mit Terrasse, sehr freundliches Personal, ein Hotel zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen, wir hatten 3 wunderschöne Tage, Dankeschön Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder

Sehr nette bemühte Mitarbeiter, obwohl gut gebucht viel Platz und ruhige Ecken zum Ausspannen. Bei den Speisen ist für jeden etwas dabei und sie sind sehr gut. In den Zimmern hat man viel Platz - einzig das Trocknen der eigenen Badekleidung ist verbesserungswürdig da die Heizung über die Klimaanlage erfolgt.
