Rabbit Ears Motel

It’s a historic hotel that had its furnishing updated. The people who worked there have made a very warm and comfortable atmosphere.

The room was small, but there were enough flat spaces and drawers that we had room for most everything. The staff and service were extremely nice! The breakfast was nice and were were allowed to bring our own lactose free items. We had a very nice stay at an iconic hotel in Steamboat.

The receptionist was so kind and helpful. I’d just broken my ankle and she made sure I was on the first floor, opened doors to get to my room, brought me a bunch of extra pillows to elevate my leg, and gave me large trash bags and duct tape to cover my splint so I could shower. Couldn’t have asked for more kind and compassionate service.

Our stay was wonderful! The room was clean and had great vibe. It was very conveniently across the street from the town hot springs. I love how they have the hotel swag. I'll definitely stay here again!

The staff is awesome. The price is right. The location is amazing. Nostalgia. Our bathroom was updated. Carpet and bedding need to be updated. Bed was surprisingly comfy. Great place to stay if you are fine with all of that.

Was given the worst room. The wall was to a passage way woke me up at 7 AM. At 3 am there was a drunk guy who went up the stairs right outside my room. Telling someone to be quiet really loud. Also the traffic noise. And old food in the refrigerator. Room 114 I think? Avoid it the rest of the property looked fine.

I really want to like this motel, but our last stay there was a little odd. The room itself was mostly good. We had a river view and a little outdoor porch. One could tell it was a pet room because of the torn fabric on some of the furniture. That was not really a big deal to us. However, one night the latch/safety lock on the inside somehow locked when we closed the door. The younger workers at the front desk did not seem to want to be bothered with helping us get back into the room, but alas, they did pull out some kind of special tool to open the lock.As promising as this sounds, they did not seem to know how to use the special tool because they spent 15-20 minutes trying to comprehend the directions After coming up to the room and fiddling with the lock tool for about 20 minutes, the dude finally just kicked the door in and walked away without saying very much of anything. For the remainder of our stay we had this broken chunk of wood with exposed nails at the front door. All and all, it's not a bad motel, we just had a weird experience.

This motel is perfect for travelers going to Steamboat! You can leave your car here and take the free city bus which picks up right next to the hotel and drops off just across the street. Or if you want to drive, the resort is under ten minutes away. The room was comfortable. The included continental breakfast was a nice perk.

We will be back for sure, we loved the space of the room. I'll spend a little more next time for a ground level & riverside room; steps are not fun after a day of skiing & the traffic was a bit loud but walking distance to all of downtown totally worth it
