Belknap hot springs offers a man made pool full of natural hot spring water, if something more conservative is in order. Plus, the benefit of the pool, is that you can actually swim in the hot water, instead of just soaking. Another, smaller, Spring is just upriver a few miles at Deer Creek Rd, but this one is for those who really want that "on the river, hot-spring experience" (this one is also clothing optional).Take a drive upriver a few miles to Sahalie Falls and walk down the Mckenzie River Trail toward Carmin Reservoir. This is a short hike, but allows you to take in the wilder portions of the Mckenzie River near its beginnings just down from Clear Lake. Don't forget the camera.
