31 the Rocks

We stayed for 2 nights at 31 The Rocks and had a fabulous time. We booked Villa 1 which had a great little outlook where the birds and kangaroos congregated at times of the day. The villa itself was presented very well - very clean with really nice local finishings. It is fully stocked with kitchen items and we used the BBQ on the deck for some delicious steaks. For city slickers who care the TV is fairly old and does not support some channels, but we weren't there to watch TV anyway. It's a really handy location less than 2km from town and in a quiet location. Nicci made us feel welcome and we'll definitely be back.

While the cabin had a lovely comfortable bed and quite a nice bathroom, there are a few things that definitely need improvement. Firstly, there's no wifi, at least in Cabin 2, where we stayed, despite the owners advertising that wifi is included. Apparently, it's available up at the house, but that's not convenient at all. Secondly, it was advertised as including breakfast. Well, that consisted of a couple of packets of gluten-free cereal, a bottle of milk, and a bottle of juice. Not very exciting! Finally, it was very cold when we stayed. The cabin has a log fire, with dry wood available, but the fire was not set, and there were no fire starters in the cabin. So that was pretty frustrating. Luckily, there is a heat pump, which was much needed. The floor of the shower could also do with a good scrub, as the grout was pretty moldy. So, in summary, a few simple improvements would make this a really nice place to stay.

What a little gem this place is. 5 private cottages set amongst the estate. Everything was thought of for your stay in the self contained cabins. We ordered the BBQ dinner for arrival day, this lasted 2 nights. Walking tracks up to a glorious lookout over the Granite Belt. Hosts Scott and Debbie were wonderful and so helpful.

Exactly what we needed. Thank you to the amazing hosts Debbie and Scott not only was the accommodation perfect they could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. 31 The r Rocks was a perfect base for our first trip to Stanthorpe, on the helpful advice from the hosts every day was filled with adventure and perfect locations to experience the local produce. Quaint very clean cottage with perfect continental breakfast. Over the past couple of years we have stayed at multiple similar setups and 31 The Rocks is certainly the top of the list. It was lovely to see how Debbie and Scott proudly promoted and supported the region, they really enhanced the stay, we certainly will be back multiple times.

Received a lovey welcome from Debbie and Scott on arrival who were happy to share their local knowledge and provide maps of the area. Cabin was very cosy with every detail thought of. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Fire set up ready to light when we arrived. We booked a package with a self-guided bike tour and the bikes were delivered to our cabin door - very handy. We will definitely be back next winter!

This is our fifth visit to Stanthorpe. We usually stay somewhere different each time. The accomodation this time was very cosy and comfortable. Everything we needed was there, including light breakfast food. Chopped wood was supplies for our beautiful fire and a split system was available for the chilli mornings. The couple who run this place are lovely, friendly and helpful. The setting of the cabins is peaceful and serene. I highly recommend these cabins. We stayed for for five nights as there’s so much to do here.
