Stallingborough Grange Hotel

Thank you all for the excellent food and service at the surprise 60th birthday lunch organised by my family for me. Everyone said their food was excellent, loads of empty plates. I had the roast beef it was brilliant x

My husband and I have just been for a meal We both had the marinated chicken which came with mushrooms tomatoes and homemade chips It was absolutely delicious My husband had the cheesecake which he said was equally as good I had coffee which came with a chocolate and I thought that was a lovely touch to finish the meal We won't hesitate to return soon

My friend & I booked to stay here as was attending the festive party. On arrival the place looked lovely, with thatched roof and a large car park. Very pretty christmas decorations & fairy lights everywhere. I checked in first and my friend joined me later. The friendly lady on reception explained she'd been having problems with the power- the electricity had been off, but everything was working normally. Our room was very nice, clean & fresh with comfortable beds. It did feel somewhat cold so I turned the radiator on, but it didn't seem to come on. My friend arrived and we were sat chatting, having a good catch up, lights on, curtains closed when suddenly we were plunged into darkness. We had to use the torches on our phones to navigate our way out to reception. The friendly receptionist apologised & said she was going to try get the power back on & boost the heating. It came back on ( heating too) & we began getting ready for our Christmas event. We went next door & really enjoyed the 80s xmas theme. The 3 course meal was lovely, and the entertainment/ disco was great. We returned back to our room after & and were just getting ready to retire when all the power went off again. We were both tired, so plugged in our phones etc and just went to sleep thinking it would come back on again. I woke a few times during the night as it was so cold ( no heating). We woke up next morning to sadly find the power still off, so my friend got dressed & went to reception. The same lady was present, and apologised again and said she would get someone to bring us a tea tray so at least we could have our morning cuppas. We had our drinks and voilà the electricity came back on.. yayy. We managed to get some charge in our mobiles. My friend headed for the shower, but unfortunately half way through her washing her hair, oh dear the electric went off again. What a palaver! Another trip to reception & it was back on again, whilst she managed to rinse her hair. The kind lady on reception did offer us the use of another room at this point, but as we were due to leave at 11am, half hour later it wasn't worth it. My friend managed to rinse her hair but sadly it went off shortly after again. This was ridiculous. So we gave up & vacated our room ( my friend leaving with wet hair). Again, the friendly lady on reception apologised to us, we understood it wasn't no fault of hers, but wow, what inconveniences we suffered !? Such a shame, as everything else was very pleasant. We hope they manage to sort out their issues for future guests staying here.

Have stayed at Stallingborough a few times and staff have always been friendly with excellent service and good food. Unfortunately on this occasion there was no heating in my room and I was cold.

We stayed here for 1 night to visit a friend before travelling further north. The staff are so friendly & welcoming - the barman Jamie is hilarious & missing a vocation as a comedian. We had a huge room, a very comfortable bed & the food was delicious.

We had high hopes for our stay at Stallingborough Grange, and to be fair, the hotel itself is lovely and the food was excellent. Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the worst night’s sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel. Our room was incredibly hot during the night, as the heating came on unexpectedly. To make matters worse, the window was broken and couldn’t be properly opened – we had to use a hardback book just to get it to stay ajar slightly. As you can imagine, we barely slept. When we reported this the next morning, we were met with a completely dismissive attitude from the staff. There was no apology or concern shown at all, which was incredibly disappointing after what had started as a lovely evening. Sadly, we wouldn’t stay here again, nor would we recommend it – not because of the facilities, but due to the poor handling of our complaint and lack of basic customer care.
