Cactus Royal Spa & Resort

Had a great pedicure from Anja today. Will be showing off my feet for the rest of my vacation.;) A little foot massage would have made the experience even more lovely, but Anja really was such a friendly, professional and kind nail technician that I can only leave five stars. :)

Spa service and reception very welcoming, Anja Was amazing! Hotel staff very helpful. The facilities are kept really clean. A good choice of food in the restaurant. My daughter enjoys the gym. She loves how big it is and there is loads of machines.

On arrival to the hotel in the early hours of the morning, we were met at reception by a young fella looking a little scruffy. He gave us a room key and told us our room number, nothing else. Nothing about the hotel was explained. Another gentleman showed us to our room and gave us a chilled box of salad and a bread roll, which was welcomed. The hotel is clean and beautiful with 3 separate pools to choose from. Landscaping is done beautifully. Each of the pools comes with the issue of sun beds being claimed by towels at 6am each morning. There are no pool staff monitoring this situation. The rules the hotels lays out about pool etiquette is NOT managed and became very frustrating. Food was varied and enjoyable. Plenty to choose from, throughout the day. Pool bar was manned by a single member of staff and therefore queues built up, they need another person working in there. Main bar in the evening was manned by the fabulous ‘Stella’ who was charming and attentive. Resort Mini supermarket, doesn’t take card payment, only cash, but had cute little gifts and things you may need while on holiday. For an all inclusive resort I wouldn’t expect the following: 1. Room fridge not to be restocked daily. 2. Certain cocktails on the menu not included and needed to be paid for. 3. No allocated hotel beach beds and beds costing 15 Euros per couple. I also believe that certain housekeeping staff cleaning the rooms cannot be trusted. On checkout we accidentally left an item of clothing hanging in the wardrobe. We realised 2 hours later and asked reception if the room could be checked. Housekeeping staff stated there was nothing left In the room. I was told by reception “no lady, we think u left it somewhere and are now blaming the hotel”. It ruined the final few hours in the hotel and I know the housekeeping staff bare faced lied. It was a horrible ending to a lovely holiday. So please check your hotel room carefully before you leave. Even inexpensive items WILL apparently be taken. We won’t be returning.

I experienced the spa and the massage here. It was very great thanks to Anja! I enjoyed it a lot, definitelly recommend if you are thinking about it. All was perfect - from the SPA reception, therapists, facilities… Thank you very much for your services:)

The location was clean and pretty. The workers were super friendly and helpful. Massage was very recovering and all in all nice experience. My friend and i feel extremely relaxed after the cretan massage. Thank you Antonis and Anja for your time

The hotel itself is lovely and it’s in a great location. The beach is opposite the hotel and there is a lot to do in the resort. The room was comfortable and regularly cleaned. The food is quite average and we found a lot of it to be bland in the buffet restaurant. The queue for the pool bar is often quite long but the main bar is very well run. The entertainment was lacking and we only had entertainment on 3 nights of our stay. The pools are very clean but there is an issue with a lack of sunbeds and they are often all gone by late morning. The a la carte Mediterranean restaurant is really nice and well worth a visit. The A La Carte system wasn’t very well explained and we were not able to use our other two vouchers due to lack of availability. The hotel rooms are more of a 4 star than a 5. Overall we had a lovely holiday but probably wouldn’t visit this hotel again
