Akrathos Beach Hotel

We had excellent vacation here. As we entered the lobby we feel very welcomed. Very polite,kind,pleasant and friendly staff and this refers to every single person we met in the hotel. We stayed for seven nights at the beginning of September. The accommodation was great,clean room and clean bathroom. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. As for the food, everything was fresh, delicious and very varied. I was a bit afraid because I have a picky little 3 years old,but she loved the food. Plenty of choice.   The beach was clean and spacious. Enough sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. The beach bar was also great with variety of drinks as you please. There was Greek night and Sax night with live music. Great atmosphere.   I was very happy because there was an entertainment for the kids: "mini" disco and activities at the beach at the certain time. My daughter loved it.   Overall, we had an excellent vaccation by all means. Everything was well organised,well served, good quality, quiet. The vacation as our family served the best. We will be going again for sure.   I warmly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is situated in a lovely area, olive orchard l, overlooking a beautiful bay. Clean place and polite service. Food with all inclusive is quite good. Lots of local and international dishes. The drinks though are really poor. The local wine included in all inclusive is heavily watered down and its taste hardy resembles wine. The soft drinks and the mixers are mostly flat. During the day at the pool bar you can only choose between 2 ‘cocktails’. No liquors like vodka, gin, whisky etc are served before 6 pm, when the main bar opens. What we received was full board rather than all inclusive service, as the alcoholic drinks were really poor. We had to order and pay for decent alcohol. Otherwise a lovely holiday.

The hotel is suitable for families with kids also for young people and seniors. It has been recently renovated. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed at Akrathos Beach Hotel from 1st July 2025, and while our overall experience was mostly positive, there were a few aspects that could definitely be improved. Here’s a breakdown of our stay: Positives: Cleanliness: The hotel is impeccably clean, and the staff are always on top of things, ensuring everything stays spotless. Staff: Friendly and attentive—whether it was at the restaurant or around the hotel, everyone was always there to help. Food: The food was a highlight. There was always a great variety, and everything we tried was delicious. Private Beach: Having access to a private beach was fantastic. We never had trouble finding a sunbed, which made for a relaxed beach experience. Entertainment: The two nights of entertainment we experienced were really good, offering something fun to look forward to after dinner. Views: Stunning! Whether we were at the beach or by the pool, the views were incredible. Comfortable Beds: One of the most important factors for us—the beds were incredibly comfortable, and we slept soundly every night. Negatives: Water Temperature in the Restaurant: The biggest issue for us was the water temperature. The drinking water in the restaurant was always at room temperature, so every time we wanted ice-cold water, we had to queue at the bar for ice. This felt unnecessary and slightly inconvenient. Only 2 nights entertainment: Although the 2 nights entertainment was good, there was nothing to do the other 5 evenings. Beach Access: The walk to the beach is quite steep, which could be tough for anyone with mobility issues. Although transport is available, it’s worth mentioning. Location: The hotel is a bit isolated, with nothing within walking distance. The main road is busy and lacks proper footpaths, so walking around is not very safe or pleasant. Limited Drinks: If you’re a fan of spirits, you’ll be disappointed. No spirits are available during the day at any of the bars. The main bar only opens at 6:00 PM, so if you’re someone who enjoys a drink earlier in the day, this is quite limiting. Snacks: The snack options between 4:00–5:00 PM were underwhelming. Just muffins or cookies—nothing substantial, and it’s only available for one hour. For an all-inclusive resort, the snack selection could definitely be more varied. Not Truly All-Inclusive: As many previous reviews have mentioned, this hotel is not truly all-inclusive. The lack of spirits and limited snacks make it feel like there are a few things missing that would make it a more complete experience. If the hotel focused less on cost-saving measures, they’d likely see more repeat guests, which is a shame because the hotel has so much potential. Conclusion: While we had an enjoyable stay overall, the hotel could easily be 100% by addressing a few cost-saving measures. We booked this hotel based on very positive 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor, unfortunately we were very disappointed as were expecting a high quality 4 star food and drink experience. All comments below relate to All Inclusive Pros: Beautiful hotel location and view Beautiful beach Large swimming pool Cons: Sunbeds on the beach are locked so you have to wait for a man to unlock them. Room was ok but a little dated; it does not have much space in the bathroom to put your toiletries No toilet on the beach (it is back at the hotel up the hill) Food in the restaurant is not 4 star food more like 3 star. The restaurant feels more like a canteen so it doesn't feel like a 'special' experience going down for dinner. There is no discernible difference between the food at lunch time and the evening. Drinks at the bar and the beach are low quality (e.g. the white wine is sweet not dry and not very drinkable, the beer tastes watery, no well known branded soft drinks) In conclusion, we very disappointed in this hotel especially the quality of the food and drink, we did not think that it represented value for money; the amount we spent on the holiday was just about the same amount we would normally pay for a good quality 4 star hotel however, this was not reflected in the quality of the food and drink.

After two years we again chose to stay at the Akrathos hotel. Again, we were thrilled. Many thanks to the entire hotel staff for their excellent care. Everyone was great (main restaurant staff, bar staff, beach staff, housekeeping). A big thank you to manager Edoardo in particular. He creates this great atmosphere. Every guest feels welcome and cared for. We are definitely planning to visit Hotel Akrathos again.
