Sweetwater Lane Farm

Our stay here was amazing! The outdoor space is everything we wanted… a private hot tub with a view, the sauna, and all the animals hanging around. The space is private and set a ways away from the main house. We loved hanging with the cows and donkeys and Michael the cat spent the whole evening sitting by the hot tub with us. The house itself is well stocked and comfortable, but the outdoor space is where it’s at!

I came upon this location to book on Airbnb and I was so excited after looking at photos of the property because it looked like a very relaxing getaway surrounded my nature. I requested to book with 5 of my close girlfriends for a weekend to go up and spend a relaxing girls trip away for my birthday as we all enjoy hiking and being outdoors. Jocelyn messaged me asking what our reason for travel was as well as what our age group was. I responded saying it was for my 30th birthday we wanted a relaxing getaway to hike and enjoy the beautiful place, and that we were all in our 30s. She immediately rejected my request and said they’ve had horrible experiences with birthday parties and good luck finding something else. I feel like this was unfair to reject our group due to assumptions and because we were celebrating my birthday. I messaged her back respectfully trying to explain we were a responsible group of women in our 30s going to relax and hike. My friends and I have great reviews on Airbnb for guests, we are all working professionals and we usually leave airbnbs cleaner than we find them. I’m very frustrated with my experience with trying to book Jocelyn and Gus’ place especially after reading all the great reviews. They didn’t even give us a chance to stay there for no good reason..
