Premier Inn Ipswich (Chantry Park)

Not the first time I’ve stayed here, each time I have found the room clean and the staff very friendly. Particularly the lady at breakfast, it has been the same lady each time I’ve stayed and she is amazingly friendly and helpful! She deserves a raise!

We stay at this hotel at least once a year when visiting area for family commitments. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is ideally located, jusy a short drive from the Park and Ride facilty on London Road, which makes access to Ipswich Town Centre very easy

We had a great stay but the highlight had to be our breakfast experience! Selina was our server and she was absolutely fabulous! Her bubbly personality and attention to detail made such a difference to our stay! She looked after us so well and was such a pleasure to talk to! Thank you Selina! 😁

Charlie and all the staff are professional and a pleasure to see around the hotel . Charlie even took my bags into an office for me whilst I was waiting on the go ahead from bosses for another night stay. The staff even sorted me a new room out with a small bed problem carried out very efficiently and professionaly.

This location is showing its age but adequate for short stays. It has a good breakfast service which can get a little crowded at times. Evening meals can be taken at the pub on the same site. This serves a good standard of pub food in comfortable surroundings, prices are a little high for the area. The location is good being just off the A1214, be warned, the Sat Nav post code given will send you to the wrong location if approaching from the A14, it gets it right if coming out of Ipswich.

CHANTRY PARK, HOTEL STAFF WERE WONDERFUL The was a collapsed sewer off site, an eye watering stench in our room all night, no spare rooms. Chantry Park inn staff were the best ever, Selina and manager Lee remembered our group from our last visit in May, we were all impressed with them on that visit and they helped make our time there fun, On the first morning of our stay there was water either rising from the drain or very quickly filling from above, we weren't going to risk paddling in someone else's dirty water so we could only wash in the basin. I reported that to a member of staff who said she'd get maintenance to sort it, I started back to our room when a lady said the problem had been sorted. We had no time to return to the room and left with our group of friends. We returned late that night from a brilliant day with old RN mates to find a terrible eye watering stench in our room, not only the bathroom but the bedroom was as bad. I reported it to the night manager who explained there had been a sewer collapse a long way off site and a drain cleaning company had been there for five hours. The lady also told us the hotel was fully booked, no spare rooms, I had been celebrating in the pub next door so I couldn't drive. She sprinkled something to try and hide the stink but it made no difference. I was given a number to phone as the hotel weren't allowed to give compensation or refunds, that had to be Premier Inns head office. I phoned Premier inns off site complaints department on the Monday morning, the lady was awful, really awful. We felt ill after our stay and was offered one and a bit days refund??? I phoned the hotel, the weekend manager was off but phoned Tuesday morning and gave us refund for both days after talking to his manager. I would have expected and asked for more as it was the worst hotel visit we've ever had and we're 75. As I said the Chantry Park Inna staff were the best, let down by Premier Inns head office.
