About 7 minutes walk from the Spotorno-Noli railway station, the hotel was easy to find. It is also only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of town and the beaches. Check-in and out were easy. Single room is tiny with hardly any space to move, but when you book a single room and realise the price; then it's acceptable. Bed was OK, internet wifi worked well, room was cleaned daily and the air-conditioning also worked well. There is a TV room in the room but I didn't use it and have no idea what channels there are. There is a small safety deposit box in the room as well. The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool at the rear, lovely garden and sitting-out area at the front and back, there is underground, secure parking owned by the hotel, a tennis court and a bar downstairs adjacent to the pool, the latter run in the evenings by a nice, friendly woman. The restaurant is OK. Dinner if you want it, consists of a set menu with three choices for each course. Edible and reasonably priced; but nothing to write home about. Breakfast was the usual Italian continental style buffet and was fine. Yoghurts, cereal, croissants, bread, cold meats and cheese, other pastries, fruit juice, and a coffee machine which wasn't that great. However, it was on a par with other breakfasts elsewhere. The issue I did have however is that breakfast is not served until 0800. For someone who likes to get up early in the morning and who has stayed in numerous other Italian hotels where breakfast is served from 0630 or maybe 0715; this time (0800) was dreadful. Overall, a nice place. I had previously stayed at the Best Western Aqua Novella (which badges itself as 4 star), and frankly; the Hotel Riviera was just as good. Not much between them. Enjoyed my stay here.
