Villa Nepos Hotel

This hotel could not be more perfectly located - right in the heart of Diocletian’s palace. You can easily walk to restaurants, ancient sites, and the waterfront. It was also the nicest place we stayed during our trip to the area. We had a nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, and even a washing machine. There was an air conditioning unit in every room, safes in the bedrooms, as well as a TV with satellite, Netflix, Youtube, etc. Considering its location and how nice and spacious our apartment was, it really wasn’t expensive. If I were to visit Split again I’d book the same apartment. One note - Our apartment was up a flight of stairs, so this isn’t the best place for someone with mobility issues, and is not accessible at all for wheelchair users. They do have various apartments though and may offer other more accessible ones if needed.

Villa Nepos wowed us as soon as we walked through the door. It has been lovingly restored and is full of character, beautiful decor all with a luxurious feel and immaculately clean. The location is Perfect, right in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace. Toma the General Manager at Villa Nepos was there to greet us and whisked our luggage away to our room before a smooth and swift check in. Toma was always on hand to help and nothing was too much trouble for him, he was an outstanding host and a credit to Villa Nepos. We had a one bedroomed apartment consisting of a large open lounge/diner, a very grand bedroom with the most comfortable queen sized bed and a large ensuite with Mahooosive shower! We had a choice of two restaurants for breakfast, both just a two minute walk from the Villa. We stuck to the Central Square Hotel as this was a buffet style with a huge selection of foods which set us up nicely for the day ahead exploring Split. I could go on and on about how amazing this place is but you really need to go, stay and experience it for yourselves, you will not be disappointed. We are already looking to return here and wouldn't look anywhere else.

A wonderful location and wonderful accommodation. The service received from Tomas and all staff was exceptional. Our stay at Vila Nepos Hotel, Split could not have been better. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Split.

Vila Nepos in Split is an absolutely amazing Apt/ hotel in a great location. It comes with a sitting room, a kitchenette & even a washing machine with tastefully done interiors. I have stayed in different hotels around the world but nothing like this. In the centre of the old town, 5 minutes from the Riva Promenade with all the amenities one could ask for, it was a home away from home. We could even take a siesta when we were tired. Mate, the manager did an excellent job making us feel at home & was constantly in touch. Very helpful too. It was like staying in an Aristocratic house. 5 Stars to Vila Nepos.

Vila Nepos is located smack dab in the middle of everything. You walk outside and can find something magical within minutes. If you spend a few days, you will feel like you live in this lively, fun and safe neighborhood. So easy to navigate from Vila Nepos! From the moment we arrived from the Split airport, Toma was there to greet us. He was warm and friendly and immediately whisked our bags away to our room. He was super helpful and showed us everything we needed to know about this luxe apartment where we would spend the next three nights. The apartment is lovely! Ancient and modern at the same time. Tastefully decorated and thoughtfully planned. We loved having two big bedrooms and bathrooms. It was comfortable, quiet and very restful after our busy days exploring. I would highly recommend staying at Vila Nepos. The location can't be beat. The apartments are lovely. And then there is Toma, who made everything easy and pleasant for us. He is super helpful and responsive, which was really appreciated. Go to Split and stay at Vila Nepos!

Fantastic property, great bar downstairs and plenty of restaurants within few steps, very close to the promenade. But the best part is the hospitality, we got a late checkout till 3 pm, very generous, thank you Toma.

Vila Nepos is absolutely beautiful. It’s right in Diocletian’s Palace which means you are just steps from all the excitement and history. I could easily stop back by my room to drop off my bags ( I like to shop) or get a rest. The hotel was previously the guard’s residence. It’s been beautifully renovated. There are only four rooms. I stayed in the smallest and it was bigger than most suites I have stayed in. Everything in my room was top notch. Comfortable bed, strong air conditioner, and good water pressure in the shower are important to me and these were all excellent. The hotel manager treated me like family. I had to meet my driver the day of my return flight at 5 am. He walked me to the agreed upon meeting spot and stayed with me till my driver showed up. I couldn’t ask for more. This hotel was such a delight to come back home to every night. I cannot wait to return.

If you are visiting Split with a family, look no further. Villa Nepos has several locations for their apartments throughout historic part of Split. We were greeted by our Host Mate who took us to the apartment when we arrived by ferry. The apartment was above the cafe on Narodny square, steps away from Diocletian Palace. When we got in there we were in awe: beautiful kitchen and dining area, 2 bedrooms, huge living room , 2.5 bathrooms and washer/dryer which was an especially nice amenity. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has all modern amenities. The breakfast buffet at a restaurant next door is included and it was excellent. Mate provided us with his WhatsApp account and we communicated with him through that with whatever questions we had. He also made several dinner reservations for us and they weee all excellent. Absolutely wonderful experience!
