Pyrgos of Mystra

Spacious room, helpful staff, delicious breakfast and a charming location. You hear the melodic chants from the monastery, and you can walk into the little village. It's an easy drive to see ancient Sparta and well worth the time. Also an easy drive to Mystras with fascinating churches and frescos from more than 1,000 years ago.

I was very excited for our stay at this hotel and it exceeded my expectations. Mystra is a charming little village off the beaten path but very close to Sparta. Some tourists come to see the incredible Byzantine ruins just outside the village, but you're well away from the big crowds at other sites. It's an easy five minute walk to the downtown square where there are very good restaurants. The hotel is immaculate, with a gorgeous, peaceful courtyard. Wifi was very good, beds comfortable, and rooms spacious. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very kind and friendly. Don't hesitate to stay here if you want the authentic, boutique small town Greece experience - you won't regret it!

Everything about Pyrgos of Mystras was top quality - from the decor to the comfort, the atmosphere and the staff. We loved every moment. Such a lot of effort has gone into the design of this boutique hotel, so the decor and furnishings in our room were absolutely beautiful. We were in a garden room, and when we opened our shutters, we found that we had a view not only of the orange grove outside, but also of the hilltop castle! All the windows were fitted with fly screens, so we could choose between AC or natural ventilation. There was tons of room for our cases and all our stuff. The bathroom was very spacious and stylish, with a great shower and plenty of room for your bits and pieces. Breakfast was in a lovely courtyard, underneath the grapevine, and we could choose from an extensive buffet, with many of the choices home-made, e.g. jams, omelettes, teas etc. Tea and coffee were served to your table. It was a meal that you wanted to linger over! The staff were so friendly and helpful, even greeting us by our names, which was a very nice touch. We were only a 2 minute walk from the main square in Mystras, where there is a selection of tavernas under a huge, old tree, although we opted to drive about 15 mins up to the nearby village of Pikoulianika, where there were some excellent restaurants with great views of the ruins and plain of Sparti. I would certainly stay here again if I were in this area.

L'hotel dispone di alcune camere ben arredate con colori che predispongono al relax e di altre con colori un po' scuri, cupi. Quest'ultime si affacciano, comunque, su un rigoglioso giardino che rende piacevole l'aria e il soggiorno. La colazione è buona, varia e con prodotti tipici della zona ed alcuni artigianali. Lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile. L'hotel è una posizione molto comoda per visitare l'antico sito di Mystras.

Hotelito rural situado a menos de cinco minutos andando de la plaza principal de la población. Habitación amplia con decoración muy bonita. Baño poco funcional y nada cómodo. Desayuno bueno, amplio y variado en una terraza muy agradable. Aceptable relación calidad precio
