The hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant however the rooms were very hot (28 degrees centigrade) and had no air conditioning, a fan was supplied but only moved the hot air about. The duvet was very heavy which made sleeping uncomfortable, my wife is disabled and struggled with the heat and the duvet.

Awful experience, shame the staff are quite rude, they don’t understand people who need more accommodation due to there illness, shame as it used to be an amazing place to stay

We stayed at the Southport Premier Inn during a heatwave and had a truly awful experience. While the website says there’s no air con, we didn’t expect the room to be this unbearably hot. Only one fan was provided for a room with three adults (including one with MS) and two small children — it just blew hot air around and made no difference at all. We asked for an extra fan and were told no. We asked to move rooms and were told the hotel was full. It was impossible to sleep — we all had headaches, the children were miserable, and one adult actually had to sleep in the car just to cool down. That says it all, really. For £168 a night, I expected at least the basics of comfort. We received none. I would not stay again and wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially during warmer months. Premier Inn really needs to rethink how it handles extreme temperatures — this was unacceptable.

stayed for a couple of nights rooms were clean and good facilities TV and kettle staff were helpful and friendly and reasonably priced carparking was free when staying at the premier inn

no air conditioning in room. had a fan in room&brought own fan, left on 24hrs, room still like a sauna.stayed 2 nights, left totally exhausted. AVOID THIS HOTEL. only stay if you want no sleep&like to sleep in a sauna. THIS HOTEL NEEDS AIR CONDITIONING INSTALLED IN ALL ROOMS. food and staff very nice on a positive note.great location.

No air conditioning in room. At 28 degrees it was way too hot to sleep. Staff didn’t seem to care as it was an issue with all of the rooms. Premier Inn Southport need to invest in air conditioning or supply temporary units when the weather is warm. Overall very disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend or stay there again.
