Arthur's Bar & Accommodation

Really well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Location is superb, staff are lovely and the bar below is great. Quiet, which is impressive given the location above a bar near to a main road. I found the shower pressure a bit low but recognise this might be an environmental choice. Otherwise it was ideal. I'm looking forward to staying again.

An overnight stay visiting family nearby. Easy check in with friendly staff the room was spotlessly clean and a good size. We had to fix the bedside lamps as they weren't plugged in behind the headboard and the bulbs were loose in the fittings (very dodgy switch plug) but apart from that the room facilities were excellent. We were told the bar would be open until 10.30 but when we returned at 9pm the staff told us that they had already called last orders as it was a quiet Sunday night. They kindly served us a drink as we were residents and we were the last to leave as the staff were finishing off cleaning and tidying up. Which made it very strange that loud bass music could be heard in our room until 12.30! Perhaps it was one of the neighbouring rooms having a party? Despite that, would happily stay again.

We arrived on Thursday afternoon 11 July.The room was very clean and although small had everything we needed. We came back at 10 pm to find that the bar downstairs was in full swing and because it was a warm evening the door behind the bar was open leading onto the stairs where we were staying.We did not get to sleep until at least 1 am but Friday night was even worse. The music downstairs did not stop until 12.am and then there was the continuous noise of the staff putting out the bottles into the recycling and then when we eventually thought we had some peace two of the workers proceeded to come upstairs and talk outside our room.Did nobody know there were guests staying?

Stayed here for valentines night, whilst the room was clean and well decorated, it was tiny. The ensuite bathroom was behind a sliding door and if you were bigger than average you physically would not be able to get into the shower as the sink was in the way. Difficult to get ready for the night as literally no space and for £75 for the night I really do not think it was worth it. On the plus side we slept well and the bed was very comfy. I honestly have never stayed in such a small room before. A little noise from outside only and the car park for £3 per day is only a short walk. No kitchen facilities so no options for breakfast but the room does have tea and coffee facilities. Good location too but would definitely not stay again for that price. Bar nice, good range of drinks.

Visiting family in Southport for a couple of days, we stayed at Arthur's in The Penthouse. Spotlessly clean room! The food and bar was brilliant, staff very friendly, the breakfast was to stunning! Location great to get into town or other amenities. Thank you! 10 out of 10
