The Queens Head

A welcoming Inn, just outside Oxford. Good beer, friendly staff, room adequate and comfortable. But, the food was insane! Delicious Thai/Asian cuisine of a standard of 1 AA Rosette 🏵 They really need to invite an AA inspector as I am sure, they would secure at least 1 Rosette for Culinary Excellence. The food was very nice and it was prepared nicely. The atmosphere of the pub is great, staff are nice - always offering help and service. Drinks were great too, menu had all sorts and there was alot to choose from. Cooked nicely and was overall a pleasant experience.

Just had a 2 night stay here. The room although basic was spotlessly clean, with good tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing board, hairdryer and an apple banana and pain au chocolat each for breakfast. There is a list on the wall in the room of local areas serving breakfast if you wanted something cooked ( which we didn't) . On our first night we ate in the restaurant and the great reviews on here are right. One of the best meals we have had in a pub. The pub was ideally located for our visit to Blenheim Palace ( 30 mins away) and then into Oxford city (20 mins away). All of the staff were very friendly, as we're the locals. The owner Jason couldn't do enough for us, checking we were OK. The rooms are probably due a fresh lick of paint, but I would definitely stay here again. Claire and Steve.

Lovely pub, food is cooked to perfection and is very delicious. Wait time was average, fab staff! Toilets are clean and we personally know the pub owner so it was nice to see him again and I definitely recommend this pub! Comfortable and relaxing, come and visit!

Arrived a bit later than expected due to heavy rain. Car park was busy and quite dark where we had to park. Reception was in the bar area and quickly shown our room and advised meals in restaurant would finish in about 45 mins. Shown to room 3 which was possibly being designated as being suitable for disabled person. (bedroom would have been quite awkward for someone with a wheelchair, however bathroom quite big with a walk-in shower. Pictures on website inaccurate as wood now all painted grey) Knew breakfast was not available but a choc chip roll and some fruit was left instead. As we were off early to London on the Oxford Tube the next day this was not a problem. As unable to review the Blue Chbaa restaurant separately I will add it below: Surprised when going to the restaurant to find it was run separately and was mainly Thai Cuisine, although some pub classics were available from the blackboard. Tried the Katsu Chicken curry for the first time and found it very pleasant and tasty and served with sticky rice. My wife had Chicken Pad Thai which she enjoyed, just seemed a lot of noodles. Both dishes reasonably priced at ~£15 each. Not offered any desserts but not too worried as it was quite late.
