The room 21 best room with lovely view all round the tub is spacious and view of Ganges the hotel beds are comfortable for 2 adults 1 child the bay bed is excellent for any baby or children or adult the service by restaurants is excellent mr Rajib mr Phillip mr ayandeep it was chefs last day Chef Parimal whom we have seen every time we visit there so it was Sad he was Excellent to the end chef Sudip was a blessing a great chef who knows how to serve delicious food these people make our stay wonderful the new year eve ball the way Mr Rajib did his work of serving guests on the lawn was so nice we will appreciate it always and we will be bk

The river view is beautiful and the rooms were also very nice. The food at both Reflections and Ganga Kutir was amazing, and the restaurant staff was extremely courteous. However, the reception staff was not that polite. Additionally, the drive to the resort was quite unpleasant and tedious as google showed the wrong route. Unfortunately, the Bengali restaurant, Sonar Tori was closed during our visit. During my visit, the resort provided the buggy ride to the Ffort only once and refused to provide it twice which was quite disakppointing. Overall, it was a satisfying weekend getaway, far from the hustle of the city

Beautiful place ***** the Ganga river bank, the place is very compact, but the view is worth forgetting any major to do’s, the rooms were quite spacious and well maintained, food was superb at Sonartori and so was the complimentary breakfast. All in all a relaxing stay with good weather with your favourite people.

Visited 3rd time in Ganga Kutir and can't wait to go back. First let me clear a common confusion about "Raichak on Ganges". This huge condominium on the bank of Hooghly in Raichak (Hardly 2 Hours from Kolkata), has several sections inside- 1. Ffort Raichak- The hotel with swimming pool, restaurants and decent rooms with restricted or almost no river view. But good for a family weekend . 2. Villas rented out by them with small plunge pools , restaurant at Ffort Raichak is quiet a walk. These villas have kitchens. NO river view 3. Privately owned villas rented out by companies or individuals who own them, same as No.2. 4. Ganga Kutir villas- More chic, suave villas , but you cannot access core "Ganga Kutir" from here also. No river view 5th - and where we stayed is the real heaven in this condominium the main " Ganga Kutir". Large river view rooms, infinity pool on the Hooghly, great massive span of the river will mesmerize you . A Ganga Kutir special restaurant serving the most delicious continental, Chinese, East Asian, & Indian food bothin starters and main course. A lavish breakfast spread on the banks of Hooghly where you can gaze at a passing cargo ship while enjoying your breakfast . Prices of this core Ganga Kutir area would be around 20k per night for 3 with breakfast. But believe me, every penny is worth specially within such a short drive from Kolkata. It's lush green span and a broad horizon of the mighty Hooghly will make you forget all your worries. Great staff, always welcoming and trying hard to customize your luxury. Specially Ayan, sorry fir forgetting the other names. Only 1 drawback, if you are a Bong and a lavish bengali lunch gives you the kick then options are limited Their signature Bengali fine dinning "Sonar Tori" is a big flop. No Ala Carte, and you will be compelled to take choice of Thali which is severely overpriced and you end up in ordering much more than u need . TASTE is also not up to the mark, too much fancy but no depth in the preparations . Sonar Tori also operates only on weekends. Rest this place is a piece of luxurious unwinding nearest to Kolkata.

Our stay at Ganga kutir (Mahawasala, room 43) was peaceful because of the ambience and view. However the room needs maintenance. we were charged approximately 17k for 2 adults and an extra bed was 2.5k with taxes. There was dust and cob webs on the furniture. The extra bed lacked a good mattress and was uncomfortable. Food was ok (we ordered in room for both lunch and dinner), breakfast was average as well.

Attitude & Training of the staff in front office was terrible. The moment we reached after the 3 hours ordeal (drive) from the Kolkata airport, we were received by Ms. Jyoti at reception – who was a classic example of what a staff shud not be on arrival. She looked at our booking from makemytrip and refused saying they don’t have the booking. I contested saying the booking voucher says it is ganga kutir to which the response was makemytrip does a lot of fraud normally. We insisted to check n then she realized the booking was there. We then go to the room which was terrible and looks like a run-down stay & the housekeeping of the room was terrible. The used plates and crockery were lying right outside our room which were not removed for the next 4 hours from the time we checked in. the fancy pool that we see in the website while booking, we realized they are not switching on the lights at night becoz we were the only occupants in that stretch. Dirty walls, stained windows, cigarette stubs lying around were some of the many disaster that we encountered. Left with no option we requested for an upgrade to another room which was an additional 100% of what we had paid already. That also was done by the Ms Jyoti so reluctantly. Thankfully the restaurant staff were warm and salvaged our stay. A property of this scale with such unprofessional staff at front desk + staff openly saying that one should not book thru makemytrip as they do FRAUD is shocking. I wonder why they feature their rooms on their platform. Suggestion to fellow traveler – pls do research on this venue, talk to folks who have been there and then book the suitable room. The pictures are misleading for sure padded with a weird front office staff.
