We had a beautiful stay at Villa Oriana Relais. The hotel exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Staff were so warm and friendly and very accommodating, such a hidden gem. We took the train from Naples to St Angello station (one stop from sorrento) which is the closest station, then a 15 euro taxi to the hotel. We walked into sorrento every day which took around 20 minutes but we enjoyed the walk and its nicer have the hotel located in a peaceful area and away from the busy town. Breakfast each morning was wonderful with home made cakes and quiche from fresh local ingredients like lemons from the hotel orchard. We would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

My family stayed here in 2003 and I decided to come back this year with my husband. I remembered Maria so fondly and it was wonderful to be back and see her again. We were welcomed with fresh sparkling lemonade and cake and they had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room as we were on our honeymoon! The breakfast spread is unlike anything else, always made with so much care and love. Maria works so hard to make sure everyone is having a nice time. Her team is very kind and helpful as well. The jacuzzi is a great addition to the rooftop! We spent lots of time up there at sunset. The Dyson hairdryer in the bathroom was a nice surprise! We will be back to see Maria and her family again!

This was the best place we stayed at while in Italy. Breakfast was amazing with different wonderful dishes each morning. The view overlooking the bay is breath taking and the rooms were comfortable with bathrooms that had dyson hairdryers and everything you needed. The grounds are gorgeous and it was so quiet. I could spend a whole week just in this one location. What really made this place special was our talks with Maria the owner, learning about the history of the land and her childhood growing up in this little bit of paradise. You can feel the love and passion she has for the Villa, the land and all her guests. You just can't help but fall in love with this wonderful place that is truly home away from home. We will be back!

Villa Oriana Relais resides in a lovely setting of lemon and olive trees. Its white facade is very elegant, overlooking Sorrento from the hills above. The view of the beautiful water surrounding Sorento is captivating! The great attention to detail by Maria, and all the staff is absolutely unsurpassed! The rooms were well appointed and spacious with some rooms offering views of the water below. The beautiful and delicious breakfast was freshly made every morning. We definitely hope to stay here again and have already told others about what a delight we found in Villa Oriana Relais!

We stayed here Oct. 2 through Oct. 5th. I truly wished we had planned our stay to be longer because we enjoyed it so much. Our room was amazing and the view was spectacular. The hosts were so friendly and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful experience.

From the moment we arrived we felt spoilt! We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary & had been upgraded to a suite! The room was large & stylish with plenty of storage. The view over the bay from our balcony was breathtaking! Great shower & the Dyson hairdryer was a great touch. Breakfast was amazing, freshly made rolls quiche & cakes, with homemade marmalade, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruit & coffee overlooking the bay & mount Vesuvius. We used the hot tub & roof terrace & had the place to ourselves, the sunbeds & umbrellas were top quality. Colomba even bought us our wine in the hot tub! We have had the most wonderful stay & can’t thank Maria, Colomba, Marika & all her team.. We hope to return in the near future :) X

Villa Oriana exceeded all expectations. We came to Italy for our honeymoon and traveled from place to place but this was our absolute favourite. The hotel has a boutique feel and you get a truly personalised and warm service from Maria and her team. Out of the three hotels we stayed at, Villa Oriana was the only one to congratulate us on our honeymoon with complimentary prosecco and almonds. This surprise meant the world to us. The team offer a concierge service which was really helpful with a shuttle service with a neighbouring hotel into Sorrento town. This was really helpful when we got the train to Pompeii one day. They also helped us to arrange dinner and transportation on the seafront our first night which was amazing - definitely recommend. What can I say about breakfast? The selection of meats and cheeses was amazing. The cakes were home baked every day and made with love. The panoramic views looking out to sea made breakfast a calming and beautiful experience. Lastly the cherry on the cake was that our last night in Sorrento was 15 August which is Ferragosto. Maria told us all about this special holiday at breakfast. At 11pm we got to see the most amazing display of fireworks from the rooftop that I'll never forget. Thank you Maria and everyone at Villa Oriana for an unforgettable stay.

Maria and her team are the best of hosts. Maria has justifiable pride in her family property and maintains it beautifully. The Villa is in the middle of groves of Lemon and Olive trees. The care and attention that goes into preparing the breakfasts alone is simply spectacular. Best breakfasts we had in Switzerland, Milan or Amalfi. Home baked savoury dishes and at least three different and wonderful cakes and breakfast "breads" each day. The short cut down the hill is great. Frankly, a lot easier for younger couples coming back up, but the shuttle system easily deals with that, even in the August heat. Once we did the shuttle once, we stuck to that as our go to. Probably a very good idea with the number of cars and scooters along Corsa Italia and the August heat. The folks there helped us get shuttles and cabs into town and to restaurants. A number of restaurants also send free transport to the Villa for those going into town for dinner. Views are the best. Place is completely secluded and an oasis away from the bustle of the town.

Villa Oriana Relais is an excellent place to stay in Sorrento! We have spent our stay between 31/07-04/08 and we loved having spent every day in the villa. ️ The rooms are clean and spacious but also equipped with air conditioning and comfortable beds. ‍ The staff is extremely polite and professional. Colomba and Marika made our visit definitely even more pleasant by proactively asking us if we needed anything and providing information for anything we asked. ❤️Maria was the heartbeat of the villa. She definitely made our stay memorable by sharing her lovely stories with us. She's the definition of an impeccable hostess. P.S: Enjoy every single breakfast in the terrace. The view is amazing (Vesuvius, Sorrento and Ischia) and the food is carefully selected and prepared by Maria always choosing local products

When we first arrived we weren’t sure if we’d chosen the right place. The hotel is located up a hill and a bit of a drive from the city centre. There also weren’t any restaurants close by and the hotel kitchen was closed in the afternoon at the time we arrived. We’d also booked a junior suite which didn’t look like the pics of the room we thought we were getting. Turns out there are two suites and they kindly moved us to the nicer room which we were very happy with. And that’s really what makes the place - the service is exceptional. The owner Maria and her staff go out of their way to help guests - they helped move our room promptly, gave lots of great tips on what to do / where to go, helped us book an amazing luxury boat tour of Positano and the Amalfi Coast on short notice and the owner Maria even turned up at the dock to personally pick us up as we arrived later. The property is also very unique with beautiful gardens of lemon trees and hydrangeas , a focus on natural and locally grown produce (not to mention Maria’s own homebaked cakes) and a lovely breakfast & beautiful views. Highly recommend the hotel if you are looking for a boutique personalised experience and don’t mind being a little away from the city centre. We typically drove down and parked in the city centre public parking which was pretty straightforward and didn’t cause too much inconvenience in the end. To top it all off Maria was personally there to see us off when we left at 6am for Rome airport offering us coffee, water and of course her famous cake! Very thoughtful and perfectly sums up what makes Villa Oriana so unique. If I could give any constructive feedback, it would be describe (and possibly price) the rooms a little differently as they are not all the same to avoid disappointment! An excellent stay overall!

Hands down the highlight of our family's European vacation!!! Our experience at Villa Oriana Relais was nothing short of exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff extended a warm welcome and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. Upon arrival, we were treated to homemade lemon cake and lemonade, which set the tone for the thoughtful hospitality throughout our visit. The villa itself was breathtaking, offering stunning views and beautifully rooms that exceeded our expectations. The staff's exceptional service truly went above and beyond during a crucial moment when we realized we had left our passports at this hotel once arriving at our next location…. They swiftly assisted us in resolving the issue, ensuring our documents were safely shipped to our next destination without delay. We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and efficiency!!!! We departed Villa Oriana Relais with cherished memories and a profound gratitude. We highly recommend this villa to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Sorrento. We are already looking forward to our next visit!!!

We had the most wonderful time, and we felt like family when we left. I would, without a doubt, look no further if you are looking at hotels in Sorrento. This one takes the CAKE! Speaking of cakes, the host makes special recipe cakes as well as other specialty items. The staff is amazing willing to help go the extra mile if you need any assistance. The view from the balcony is looking over the harbor, as well as Mount Vesuvius! We plan on going back again it holds a special place in our hearts. Maria made a special birthday cake for my husband, which was so sweet and thoughtful!
