Royal Son Bou Family Club

Had a week here with our 9 month old baby end of Sept, overall a good time! Rooms were good if a little dated, the cleaners are exceptional! Food and drink all lovely, fantastic bar staff! We dropped into the baby club on a few occasions which was good for baby to play with some different toys and all the kids there seemed to be loving it - would definitely feel comfortable leaving older kids, confident they’d have fun and be in safe hands. The pools were absolutely freezing, kids pool better than main pool but still very cold - not ideal for very young children and it did put me off spending too much time in them. The entertainment in the evening started with the kids disco at 8pm which is a bit late for young ones, 7 would of been better for us personally. Probably wouldn’t rush back although the hotel itself is lovely I think for the same price you can get somewhere with more modern rooms & heated pools!!!

My 14th visit to this beautiful hotel. Still love it. The hotel is clean, big apartments, huge pool, lovely choice of food and drinks. Every year I go the hotel has improved some part. Its the little things - the non slip round the toddler pool, the range of kids activities, the entertainment, the various speciality food in the restaurant. A special thank you to Magda who made my mum and my visit absolutely perfect, a big thank you for all your help. Hope you see you again Royal Son Bou family club.

Loved this hotel in beautiful Menorca. Really clean everywhere, 2 lovely pools. It was hard to tear our children away from the main pool! The food was varied, fresh and a great choice every day. We stayed half board. The apartments were spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and really good activities for children including a short pony ride and trip to Trogloland. It was in the school summer holidays but rarely felt really crowded. Liked that guests were from a range of nationalities. Loved this hotel and loved Menorca. I went for a short walk along the beach a few mornings just after sunrise. Stunning. Also, Son Bou is a lovely small resort with a few restaurants etc. When can we go back?!

This is our second visit to the Royal Son Bou Family Club and once again we were all majorly impressed. We had such an amazing stay last year I had a little trepidation that my expectations would not be matched by the hotel this year . But I was completely wrong. The Royal Son Bou Family Club have got it nailed when it comes to a family holiday. The hotel is located within 30minutes transfer from the airport which when you have a six year old asking “ are we there yet?” 30 Minutes is a god send. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. Staff are at it at all hours making sure they keep it clean. The pool is great. The food is exceptional ,when it comes to an all inclusive. I’ve stopped at several all inclusive and none of them are a touch on Royal Son Bou Family Club. The entertainment team work tirelessly through the day and night. The shows they put up are great fun. They make a huge effort with the kids. The bar is fabulous with a great selection. The entire staff at Royal Son Bou Family Club are polite courteous and go out of there way to help you make sure you’re having a great time ( special shout out to TJ from the bar , a genuine nice guy who seems to want to get to know his customers and look after them ). We noticed that we recognised a few of the guests from our last visit , we’ve already booked to come back again for our 3rd visit. People keep coming back again and again thats gives everyone an indication of how good this place is and why you should go.

What started out as a 7 day trip to Royal Son Bou for my family, had to be extended to 10 days as unfortunately my husband injured his back and we were unable to fly home as planned. I cannot begin to thank Royal Son Bou enough for their kindness and help during this time. They were able to extend our stay very easily and move us into a new apartment, they helped us with any luggage we had and made sure to call us to check if there was anything else they could do for us. We are also very grateful to the on site medic who helped my husband. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy our trip and fully make use of all the amenities Royal Son Bou offers. Some general points for anyone thinking of booking: It is a paradise for kids, so much for them to do : Kiko land, the pools, the games room, the shows etc. The entire place caters for children in such a thoughtful way. The food was great. We went all inclusive which was perfect for our family. It was easy and full of choice. Our personal preference for dinner was La Basilica as it was a bit less busy. I loved the pasta bar which had fresh pasta made to order each night. For lunches, we enjoyed making use of the takeaway boxes and either eating by the pool or in our room. There seemed to be an abundance of nice looking restaurants and bars in the local area for those not doing all inclusive. There are also multiple supermarkets very close by. The shows each night were fantastic. In our 10 night stay, we saw something different each night. The night starts with something more catered towards the kids and then there’s usually something more for the adults but our kids absolutely loved each show. The staff - I can’t say enough good things. I wish we could thank them all individually! Everyone went out of their way to say hello to our kids and make them feel important. They were so kind towards my husband and to me especially when I was frantically trying to rearrange our plans. The people at Kikoland are fab, how they manage to get to know each child and involve them in the activities during the day and then put on such great shows at night is beyond me! The apartments are lovely and clean. We stayed in D block which was nice and quiet and close to la Basilica, the kids pool and Kikoland which was perfect. I would say the photos don’t do the rooms justice. The beach is amazing. One of the nicest beaches I’ve been to. Crystal blue waters and lovely clean sand. It is quite rocky but that didn’t matter to us personally. The access to the beach from Royal Son Bou is very quick and easy. We have already decided we will be coming back next year. I would highly, highly recommend booking Royal Son Bou for a family holiday.

We’ve just got back from the Royal Son Bou and we really enjoyed our 7 night stay. This is a great hotel for young families. We were all inclusive and the food and drink was excellent. The rooms are lovely and clean and close to the pool. They have a small kitchen area with a fridge so you can make a cuppa. There is air con and a nice big fan over the bed to keep you cool. The pool itself is great and I’ve never stayed at a hotel with so many available sun loungers in the morning, even at 9:00am in the middle of June! So you don’t have to be up early to secure a good spot around the pool which was a big plus. The hotel staff are excellent! They are all so friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar staff are particularly good. The waiters made sure we always had a drink, which is unusual in many all inclusive hotels! The selection of food in the two restaurants was very impressive, there is always plenty to choose from, even when we arrived just before they closed on our first day. It’s also delicious, we really enjoyed the meal times. My compliments to the fantastic chefs of Royal Son Bou! The drinks are all top-end named brands too which was a bonus, The reason we didn’t give this hotel 5 star rating is because of the beach. It’s not too far away and the sea is shallow for some distance, so it’s very safe for small children. However this isn’t ideal if you enjoy swimming in the sea, and there are rocks in places that can hurt your feet! Apart from that, there isn’t much else to fault about this hotel. Well recommended.
