Wonderful experience at here.. Came with my Parents, Wife and kids we had a memorable experience regarding Eveey thing - Room experience, Sevices everything The food is top notch Location was very good.. 10 min from Temple Thanks Mr Sanket Solanki and his Team for wonderful Memories Cheers

It is a great hotel in the holy Somnath Temple. The rooms are spacious, food is great, staffs are cooperative. Overall a great hotel with a huge parking space. Only during evening some local dry fish smell fulfill the corridors, but rooms are not at all affected with that; It seems that’s the challenge of local area. Nothing to do with the hotel. Morning are so fresh.

Great Name but lacks substance. Room size is good. Check-in was Old style by entry in register. Breakfast spread was small and taste was so so. Room service was completely missing, attendant did not turned up after 3 reminders. Did not got anything to eat at night after 11 PM. We have to go outside for dinner.

Vits The Somnath Gateway Hotel, worst hotel I have ever visit In my life. First of all The Front desk of hotel automatic change our booking from Queen suite room to Elegance Room. when i ask they they told me Both rooms looks like same, as they thinks that i dont know the difference between them. And when i argue they said all rooms are fully booked. And then they said sir maintaince of room is going on. These are all excuses they was giving. I think they gave our room to some body else and changed our booking to Elegence room. 2nd thing The buffet service. The manager of restaurant ( Buffet service ) was very rude. he did not know how to talk with guests and senior citizens. his behaviour was very rude. He talk with locals in a good way and treat the guest from outside city in a very very rude way. Its my advice to the hotel owner/Higher management, please teach your staff ( specially manager of restaurant ) how to talk and how to behave with guest who visit your hotel. So, If somebody is going to book this hotel think twice before booking it.

VITS The Somnath Gateway is Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. Worst front dest staff u will ever find is here. They called and forced us to vacate the room at 11:00 am by saying that they have a checkout time or 11:00 am. We requested them to give us 1 hr as we were with 1 year baby but they denied and we have to vacate the room at 11:15 am. We stayed at there reception till 1:00 pm as our taxi was a bit late and to our surprise to new guest checkin came till that time. Rooms were not up to mark. Pillow covers were not cleaned. They just forced us to vacate for no reason.

The best part is the location opposite the beautiful beach. The accommodation is comfortable. The reastaurant offers a veriety of food. The hotel is located about 2 km from the Somnath Temple. As the hotel is located at the outskirts of the town, it is challenging to cross the road with the vechiles moving fast. We faced challenges while returning to the hotel after visit to the temple; As we left our mobile phone in the room, we could not explain the location of the hotel to the Auto drivers at the temple. The key card was not helpful it had no mention of address or map. It is odd that the hotel name is now well known to the Auto drivers in the town! As there was no break on the divider on road, the auto dropped us on highway with speeding vechicle and in darkness. I suggested to the hotel management to print address clearly on their key card.

Located on the highway with close proximity to the Somnath temple would be your criteria for selecting this hotel. This should not allow them to give the guest the feeling of a Dharamshala. The welcome experience at the reception is a paper cup half filled with some artificially flavoured drink. The counter is poorly designed with no back drop but the toilet doors flanked by lifts on either side. The rooms are spacious but they fail to charm due to poorly chosen color scheme. The toilets need to be sanitised cleaned regularly . They lack basic fresh and crisp towels. Bath Door mats aren’t provided and dirty ones come an hour after you requested one. Bed side tables at floor level serve no purpose. The buffet breakfast also lacks basic service of salvers and drinking water on the table. With so many options nearby Kamat’s surely need to spruce up their standards

We reached at the hotel at 5pm with my 12 year old kid and my 75 year old dad. At the reception, the lady told me that the Suite room has some washroom problems and they can't provide us with that room. She asked me to cancel my booking from *********** and offered me a low quality room at a slightly lower price (she offered me 5000 RS per night but *********** shows 3000 RS per night for the same room). I tried and found out that at this time if I cancel, I will get charged the full amount. Then I contacted *********** and with their help I was able to cancel. Then the GM (general manager) called me. I mentioned to him that I booked this suite room because it was offering a sofa bed on the hotel listing, however the hotel now said that they will only offer a mattress on the ground. I don't want to sleep on a mattress. Then he offered me the family room at the same price. We finally checked in at 7pm. The room was very big, clean, 4 single bed, two toilets, beds were comfortable. AC was working. All lights were ok. But the window glass and curtains were extremely dirty. There were spots and stains on bedsheet, comforter and pillow cover. Towels are extremely old and hard, also having a lot of brownish and blackish stains. There is no liquid hand soap and shower curtain as the shower is right next to the toilet(the whole bathroom is wet after bath). One of the showers were not working and the toilets were rusty. Water was also dripping from a light in one of the toilets. The walls were painted white but the paint from one side of the wall was starting to peel off. The TV was also very hard to navigate with, as the remote stopped working after a while. They gave only one key for the room. However, we were pleased to see despite the desolate location of the hotel (located on the middle of a highway) the food provided was fine. There is no public transport to travel from or to the hotel, so you would have to book a car. The food is 100% pure veg, with quite a lot of options and food. The breakfast options are quite good, including south Indian foods such as Idli, sambar, chutney, poha, puri,curd, payesh, fruits, paratha etc. There also was cereal, milk, tea, coffee and other options. The food was fresh and we have met 2 very friendly, attentive, and efficient waiters (Shreya and Washim). Their excellent hospitality made us feel at home but the restaurant was very unhygienic. Everyday we had to ask for a clean bowl and plates as there were insects on some of the bowls. There also was fungus near the tea and coffee table. Not a single person in this hotel can speak/understand English so if you want a clean and hygienic hotel to stay in, this hotel is not for you. I would strongly recommend not to come here if you don't speak Hindi or Gujarati.

The hotel is very good to stay.U will have a very positive feeling when u get inside.The ambience is good.They have two good restaurants in that hotel ( one attached to the hotel and one outside).Both offers good food, which u will not find there outside the presmises.Hence, food was little costly.Nearest site seeing and anything within the district like-Gir Forest u can plan with the local trip advisor within the hotel premises.However, few staffs need to be more educated on hospitality.I felt that missing there.The hotel is very big and quite luxurious.It has huge space for parking and spacious if u want to have any family function. Its almost 2kms from Somnath Temple.
