Hotel President Solin

The hotel was really nice, the rooms are large with great facilities. Staff were very accommodating. Pool was under construction but there was another open to accommodate guests. Cocktails are fab! And right across from our ladies church and a beautiful little cafe across the road. Lidls is a 3min walk if you need to pick anything up. Overall great experience but breakfast could do with some extra options like beans, mushroom, tomatoes etc.

A perfect place for vacation, celebration or business meeting with modern medical spa and wellness center. The atmosphere was amazing, especially having dinner by the pool. This hotel comes highly recommend, I'm sure you'll be delighted!

My wife and I were part of a Titan Tour group who arrived on the 14th June - we were booked as full board with drinks at dinner. The hotel is advertised as 5 star - Our allocated room was OK - housekeeping issues - a young child's handprint at the lower part of the door - clearly visible - my wife got busy with the antiseptic wipes and cleaned the door etc. The toilet roll holder was broken - the waste bin acting as a vehicle for the loo roll /a crack of about 6 inches long on the side plastic panel of the bath/ the toilet seat would not stay up for gentlemen's usage. This was brought to the attention of the reception staff and the tour guide. (photos taken as evidence and produced to the hotel via the tour guide). The restaurant looked very nice - but as we were part of a tour group, we had to dine at a given time and had quite a different menu than others staying. Please be aware, if you are staying as part of a Titan / Saga Tour - DO NOT THINK YOU WILL BE ENJOYING 5 STAR DINING even though you are paying for that in the tour! You will have a much reduced menu. For example, one evening I had, as a main course, 3 chicken wings with some cold vegetables (sweetcorn / peas / beans) one chicken wing was cold, the other slightly warm, the 3rd I did not attempt in fear of food poisoning. I pointed this out to the waiter who just shrugged and said, "I will tell him" - no offer of any other choice. Fortunately, there is a Lidl supermarket 2 minutes walk from the front of the hotel - a take out from Lidl was very welcomed! The drinks supplied with the meal were questionable. (wine / beer / soft drinks etc) - I noted that every bottle was pre-open on the table. One glass of white wine smelt like sherry and was slightly yellow than others. I asked the waiter for a new bottle and said that I would like to open the bottle myself. (screw top). He returned with a new bottle, but against my request opened (or seemed to open) the bottle. Being slightly suspicious, it makes one ask are the bottles filled from another source??? I also asked what local beer they had - I was informed that if I did not have what they offered, I would be charged?????!!! Breakfast is buffet style - no options for fried egg or an omelette as one would expect in a 5 star hotel. What appeared to be poached egg was in the warmer but these were solid. The Titan Tour brochure described the hotel as ...."surrounded by verdant farmland and rocky outcrops. Solin is a peaceful oasis to spend our last three nights...." The hotel is situated in a built up area with main roads about 400 meters away. Major building works are ongoing - upon our arrival and day of departure, you had the welcomed sounds of heavy machinery at work. It appears that if you are part of a Titan / Saga tour group, you will be offered the cheapest and most basic....you have been warned"!

Excellent service, organization, staff and ambiance for the prom. The staff, regardless of the (dis)organization of the school, goes out of their way to meet you... Wonderful and understanding people made our prom even more beautiful. Only words of praise for Hotel President ＜3

Best experience with a great facilities and pleasant staff. Rooms were nicely furnished and we enjoyed the stay very much. Food at the restaurant together with the service was excellent. We enjoyed the wellness and spa area and we are happy to recommend it!

Lovely quiet hotel. Large de luxe room and bathroom had teamaking facilities, fridge, safe, comfy beds. Everywhere very clean. NOTE - we were opposite bell tower, absolute silence as long as windows closed correctly! Beautiful pool area with loungers, chairs, shaded and sunny areas. Sadly indoor and large pool closed for renovation. Food at dinner good, and excellent breakfast buffet. All staff really nice, very helpful and efficient. Taxi ordered by reception for our trip into Split was very reasonable. Driver (Antonio) also took us on a trip to Trogir, beautiful. (Local transport is not very easy). Hotel is 5 minutes walk into Solin, sit by the river and watch the ducks! Many coffee bars but not many restaurants there.

The church bell that rung on the hour every hour throughout the night kept me awake so hardly slept. If you are a light sleeper do not choose this hotel and also the rooms were very light. Food was just about ok. Bath took a long time to fill and the jacuzzi very fierce. Certainly not a 5 star hotel.

The entrance looked fairly impressive but it ended there. The bedroom was spacious but dark and gloomy. You couldn’t see into the wardrobe. The bathroom basin didn’t hold water and wasn’t dealt with. Useless asking reception for anything. Husband had to boil water to have a shave. The bath was too high to step into easily to have a shower. I asked reception for a bath mat to save slipping but this never appeared. Hardly any of the staff had a smile except one waiter. The food was cold and certainly not 5*. I asked at reception the night before leaving the next day if we could have a wake up call at 6 am. This never happened. Very disappointed with this hotel and would never stay again.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It's a nice hotel to stay. However, there are few issues to work on it as I believe. There has been no AC and fan in the room. I found it difficult with the room temperature.The cleaner doesn't clean deeply. In a 5 star hotel, this should be expected. The shower was leaking. There has been no exhaust in the bathroom. Otherwise, good food, easy to connect to Split and going around. The massage therapist Martina was fantastic. She's professional, experienced and knows her job properly. The staff in the wellbeing were also very good. The staff in the kitchen, waiters including Zoran, Daniel and others were all helpful. The reception staff are amazing.!!! I wish all the best for future.
