The Vidanta Gran Mayan, Hotel had some very impressive amenities, and the grounds and jungle experience were amazing. First, the highlights, the people, and the staff at Vidanta were exceptional. The service was fantastic at most of the restaurants. Our room was cleaned daily, and housekeeping was fantastic. The room was the smallest of the selections and had a small refrigerator and a coffee pot. The fitness room was very nice and good amount of cardio and strength equipment. All of the bathrooms in the pool and restaurant areas were clean and well-maintained and air-conditioned, The lowlights- This is not an all-inclusive resort and the food prices can be pricey. The Salum area has a good atmosphere but is very open with little to no air conditioning and can be very uncomfortable during summer months with high humidity and no breeze. There is a lot of walking or waiting for shuttles both can be hot and uncomfortable. Several restaurants were closed. Larger Pool areas need more shade. I knew better but I agreed to the timeshare presentation, the presentation is painful and the second closer guy is very pushy. Pink shirt guy with braces. Watch out! We did the cenote excursion and Henry with Adventure Tours was a fantastic tour guide! History, culture, and environmental knowledge were incredible!!! Manny
