Los Guardeses

We stayed one night before driving to Brittany ferries Santander 15 minutes away. They arranged for us to park our full car in the courtyard so secure. We had 2 dogs, bed breakfast and parking for £70. Great value for money. The breakfast was good and had gluten free products for my husband. Tea served in bone china cups. They also arranged a late check out so we could watch the Queen funeral. The room was delightful. Lovely balcony, ceiling fan, deep bath and nice toiletries. Big thick towels. Comfy bed. Smart TV. The on-site chapel is beautiful. The small courtyard was well attended and you can eat breakfast outside. Friendly staff. This will be a regular hotel when travelling here by. Last but not least the local rose wine was delicious. Gracias

Last minute overnight stay with my husband, daughter and dog before the Santander ferry to UK. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, we were told that there was a wedding and that there would be music til 1am but this was no problem, it sounded like a great party! The hotel grounds are beautiful and would be lovely to enjoy on a warm day, unfortunately for us it was raining. The hotel has some lovely features and is tastefully decorated in keeping with the old building but with a modern touch. Our room was extra clean, beds very comfortable and bathroom had everything we needed including toiletries. Breakfast was lovely, you could select sweet or savoury and this was all served by friendly staff. There is plenty of parking close by but as there was a wedding the hotel opened up their gates so we could park in the grounds incase we struggled to park close by, this was vey helpful. Oh Would definitely recommend and would stay again, thank you 😊

El edificio es precioso,el entorno también y las habitaciones y los espacios comunes están decorados con muy buen gusto. Las camas son supercomodas y la limpieza es muy buena. El desayuno es completo con buenos productos y el café te lo prepara el camarero(muy rico). Pero sin duda lo que más destáco es la atención de la recepcionista y del chico que nos sirvió el desayuno,super amables y muy atentos en todo momento.Sin duda,por el trato recibido volveremos a repetir en más ocasiones.Da gusto que te reciban y te traten con amabilidad y simpatía.

Reseña hotel Los Guardeses. Nos hemos alojamos en este hotel situado en el pueblo de Solares durante nuestras vacaciones en el mes de Septiembre. Queremos destacar la hospitalidad tanto de las personas que gestionan el establecimiento como del personal que atiende la Recepción, el salón de los desayunos y el personal de limpieza. Buen desayuno, lo único por poner un pero y como sugerencia, comentar que en el baño de la habitación hemos echado en falta un espejo de pared con aumento. También nos sorprendió que hubiese bañera en lugar de ducha (desconocemos no obstante,si esto ocurre en todas las habitaciones). En cuanto al ascensor, conviene saber que no tienen debido a que se trata de un edificio historico y no pueden alterarlo con una obra para su instalación. No obstante, recomendamos este hotel sin ninguna duda si se quiere conocer Cantabria, bien comunicado para poder acercarte tanto a la costa como a la montaña, visitar balnearios de la zona, los valles pasiegos y por supuesto, Santander. Hemos estado super a gusto; y nos gustaria aprovechar para mandar un saludo especial a Asia, la perrita pastor catalán de la casa así como a Alex y Jesús (con los que más contacto tuvimos) e igualmente al resto del equipo que conforman Los Guardeses que hacen un gran trabajo porque sus clientes estén a gusto como en casa; se nota el buen ambiente laboral que tienen. Volveremos, seguro.

Las zonas comunes del hotel y las personas que nos atendieron son muy agradables, pero debo manifestar mi asombro por los 137 euros por noche que pagamos por una habitación diminuta cuya única luz natural provenía de un ventanuco situado a 2 metros de altura.
