Yeats Lodge

Yeats Lodge has many strings to it’s bow: a wonderful, peaceful location, with stunning views of Benbulben mountain a spacious, characteristic, lovely house, with huge rooms a shower that’s like a rainfall… a bliss, and a blessing, for tired travellers!!! a very efficient host Yet, we lacked something that’s equally important to us: a more generous breakfast… We asked for Smoked salmon without scrambled eggs, so we would have expected a little more salmon… (above all) a warmer hospitality… What a pity :-/

Had a wonderful stay at this comfortable B and B. Best sleep I have had for a very long time. This is located in a quiet, scenic area at the foot of Benbulben with spectacular views. Sligo offers many scenic places to visit that include Megalithic Tombs, Glencar Waterfall and Yeats heritage site among a few. Opportunities for hiking , horseback riding and other recreational activities available as well. Geraldine is a lovely host who makes your stay welcoming and comfortable. Both Michael and Geraldine go out of their way for their guests to ensure their visit is the best it can be. Breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. Certainly enjoyed the Irish breakfast and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. Overall this was an enjoyable experience and I would encourage travellers to Sligo to stay at this quaint , and welcoming Lodge . Would not hesitate to return!

Had a lovely stay at Yeats Lodge B&B. The owner couldn’t have been more welcoming - she even gave us a lift into town. Rooms were immaculate and breakfast was lovely. There is also a nice view of Benbulbin from the breakfast room. Would highly recommend.

Despite the challenges of the past 2 years to the tourist industry Yeats Lodge has retained its charm and goodwill along with excellent service. I was delighted to sink into one of their comfy beds again and sleep peacefully every night in the quiet of the countryside. Geraldine goes to great lengths to assure that all is well with her guests. While I was there a couple of weeks ago she drove one of the guests into town when inclement weather threatened the bus stop. As a return guest of many years I am always happy to return to an environment where I know I will be welcomed and receive consistent kind treatment in a place located in a stunning environment just down the road from the river walk by W.B. Yeats grave. Thanks Geraldine for the recommendations for the new restaurant at WB's. Their soup hit the spot, as does the food that is available at the other restaurant nearby.
