The Yeats County Inn Hotel

Had a very pleasant few hours in this lovely country inn with a few of my friends who all shared the same opinion. My first impression was just how cozy and realaxing the place was,with everyone seemingly enjoying the massive portions of good food which looked to me to be very appetising. We were greeted within seconds of landing at the bar by a host of beaming friendly faces who were more than eager to be of service. As a non drinker i fancied something exotic that didnt contain alcohol and was extremely happy to find my whims satisfied by the strawberry daiquiri which was one of many "mocktails "on offer and which had been introduced only just a week ago-good timing or what?My friends drinks paled in significance to the elaboratly made drink that landed before me and it was so funny to see their astonished faces, if i hadnt known any better i would have thought id just landed at the Copacobana.I have to say the mocktail was served in a massive glass and was delicious and i really look forward to returning again to try the rest.The service we received was beyond exemplrary and on a number of occasions throughout our visit we were approached by members of staff offering food menus and asking if there was anything we needed.In fact the service was so good overall i had to take the names of the staff on duty at the time so i could commend them in this review.My overall opinion and that of the frinds who were with me of this lovely country inn was that it was just too perfect,from the decor to the furnishings,the ambient atmosphere, the friendly efficient staff and service to the price,absolutely spot on.so i would like to thank the wonderful staff who looked after us so well that day namely Emily,Cerys, and Grace and anyone else i failed to mention who contributed to this lovely experience.For sure were making plans to return and this time for the food which smelt yummy and looked delicious. Stopped at Yeats ,Curry on way from airport. Ordered coffees and toasted sandwiches. Coffees were served had to request sugar and teaspoons, finished coffee no sign of sandwiches or our server. After 20 mins paid for coffee and left, chef blamed for not getting sandwiches, servers job to look after customers. The restaurant was fairly quiet so no excuse for bad service

Awful scruffy decor mismatched old fashioned scruffy furnishings , chipped paintwork down at heel generally.. water appeared to have a greenish tinge? Very nice staff tho...bathroom very clean but no way would I stay again ..I'm used to better, most people would be! Needs total makeover and expensive !
