Irida Aegean View, Philian Hotels and Resorts

We have just returned from our time here and had a wonderful relaxing time in the iridia.. rooms kept exceptionally clean with fantastic views. Best holiday shower ever!! The staff are efficient and friendly and can’t do enough to accommodate you, a special mention to Catherine on reception/bar who is exemplary. A fresh breakfast everyday with a great choice. A 15 min walk down the beach into town, 2 mins from the bus stop, bakery just round the corner. The only negative is the steep approach so people with mobility issues may find it too much but this applies to most of Skiathos island and town.we would absolutely consider a return trip in the future.

Quiet location, stunning views,great room fridge,air con,spacious, kept very clean,lovely breakfast,friendly staff great poolside area,close to the beach,bus route,short walk to town perfect for us,the only negative was it's a steep walk to get to but we're in our 60,s and managed

Beautiful hotel. A quiet, personal hotel. The pool area was relaxing and often felt like your own private pool. The room and views are breathtaking. Easy access to the beach and supermarkets and Skiathos town. We loved it so much e booked to go back next year whilst still on holiday. The staff are amazing also. A big Thankyou to Alex who was extremely helpful and made our stay special. Chef who was always happy to help and the food was delicious we especially loved the pastries and the little pots of loveliness that were available in abundance.. and last but by no means least Kathleen.. who’s Irish charm was infectious.. looking forward to seeing everyone next year.

Amazing Hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They could not do enough for us. Great breakfast. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The views are stunning. Bus stop is just down the hill as is the beach. You can walk to town in approx 20min or €10 for a taxi.

This hotel is excellent, the views over the bay in Skiathos are amazing, with the pool and all rooms over looking them. We had room number 1 which was the closest to the pool and the breakfast area and was quite a decent size for the smallest room. Bed was comfy, room was cleaned every day, balcony had great views and the bathroom was good. Shower was very powerful. We had a bit of a crack in the shower tray but it was reported and sorted very quickly. Breakfast is very good quality, but is the same every day. Not a problem for us as we enjoyed it and there is plenty of choice to vary it up every day. Only slight niggles for me are: the hill up from Bus Stop 6 to the hotel could be challenging if you suffer with mobility issues. We were ok but we’re young and fit. There is also a 10 min walk to the nearest supermarket. The bus stop is right outside the hill to the hotel though with excellent bus links to the beaches and centre. The thing that sets this hotel apart though is the staff, Alexandria who is local to Skiathos so gives some excellent recommendations and Catherine who is half Irish so got on with us very well are both brilliant staff and credits to the hotel. They couldn’t be more welcoming if they tried so thank you to both of them. The other staff were always smiling and polite as well. They made us feel so welcome. Overall a brilliant place to stay.

Overall the Irida Aegean View is a decent little hotel, although could do with a little bit of attention in a couple of areas. We were only staying for one night on our return from 2 weeks on Skopelos, with a flight back to the UK in the morning. We wanted our last day to be relaxing b the pool, and this turned out to be the perfect hotel for that. With regards to location, yes it's a little bit further from town which means 5 min taxi (or bus) but both are readily available. During busy periods the buses back into town can be hard to get on, as people are returning from the beaches (usually towards the end of the day) and there is a bit of a steep hill to climb from the main road (but you are rewarded with a nice view at the top.) The staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the day and were allowed into our room before the standard check-in time - which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was pretty good - eggs a few ways, pastries, fruits & yoghurt - lots of choice. The pool area is lovely, with nice loungers, seating & bar area (although the pool towels are getting a little threadbare!) The snackbar served the usual menu, but wasn't overpriced & was well made. My only gripes relate to the family room/suite we were in. The pictures online make the room look a little more bright & upmarket with some well positioned props/plants & toiletries in the bathroom. In reality the room was quite dark, with no toiletries in the bathroom. The bathroom furniture is quite dated and looking a little bit tired. The pillows were also quite hard & heavy. For the price we paid I think this could be improved on. But overall a positive experience, and a nice place to spend our last night in the Sporades.
