Elivi Skiathos

The Elivi hotel is simply fantastic...Placed on the hill above 4 beaches it has spectacular view from every part of hotel. We were at Xenia part, rooms are very clean and comfortable, they have one little minus thing - for 5 star hotel bathroom could be more luxurious, that sink vanity seemed plastic, very plain and outdated, maybe some stone or tile vanity would look so better. Rooms are partly modernised with touchscreen console besides bed for light, electric movement of curtains and AC. Also the whole room looks kind of basic, it lacks a little bit of design touch. Hotel itself has 3 parts: Xenia (with main recepcion) and Grace who is very near reception and Nest area on the other side of the hill where you can come in no time by buggies that you wait up to 5 minutes, they were truly organized about transportation through hotel property. Just ask any of employee to call a buggy for you or you can call it from your room (no matter where your going - from entrance up to reception, or to Nest and Banana beach from Xenia area or if you need ride from Nest to entrance etc.). You can get your breakfast in two places - in Xenia part or in Nest part, and it doesn't matter if you for example stay in Xenia, you can go and have your breakfast in Nest area, and than maybe go directly to Banana beach which is right there. Breakfast in Xenia is served on beautiful terrace above sea with one of the best view on the island. Breakfast was in 3 best that I ever had in my life with lots of savory food, fresh salads, pitas, eggs made in numerous ways but sweet part of breakfast on big round table was something really special - so many different and delicious things, pancakes, fresh fruits, and all so tasty. Hotel took seriously some critics about non-free coffee from previous years and this year besides free espresso and tea, there are also 2 coffee machines in Xenia breakfast part (I believe there's ones in Nest area too) and you can also order free coffe, cappuccino, fredo cappuccino etc. from bar and the first one is free, if anyone wants more, second cappuccino for example is around 3€. Besides Banana beach you can also go to Koukounaries beach or to Ampelakia beach (which was my favorite). There are free beach towels and sunbeds for hotel guests. All beaches are sandy with beach bar, good food at reasonably prices and really really fantastic stuff. The main thing of this hotel is their stuff - they are all so polite, helpful, communicative, cheerful, very well trained for interactions with hotel guests. Stuff at reception are really good, always ready to solve any problem that you have, very smiley and nice. The stuff from breakfast are also good but one person really stood out - great, communicative Roula with her warm big smile, working on few places (we also sow her in hotel boutique), very friendly, helpful girl with excellent communication skills, very confident in conversation and in solving problems, you just feel safer and calmer when she is arou

Perfect location, right outside four beautiful beaches so there is no need to leave the hotel. Restaurants are amazing, under breakfast has an amazing selection of food. Service is also excellent. I stayed with my three boys and husband- we all had an amazing time. We didn’t want to leave.

We came to the island and this hotel for a family/friends wedding! The facilities and location were superb and the choice of nearby beaches with amazingly luxurious sunbeds was a highlight. The boat taxi to Skiathos Town was a very relaxing way to see the bustling streets with loads of bars and restaurants. The wedding itself was fantastic with the food, drink and entertainment just perfect. The icing on the cake at this hotel was the quality and friendliness of all of the staff we encountered. Particular mention should go to Roula who always had time to chat and really went above and beyond… Would thoroughly recommend this hotel!

A truly wonderful resort hotel. Peaceful, relaxing, clean. The excellent staff were so attentive it made our Golden Wedding year a joy. Golf style buggies driven by dedicated staff make getting around the complex so easy. Set in a landscaped peninsular with choices of beaches and eating areas. 5 star official rating is no lie, Elivi is simply the best!

Just returned from a fabulous holiday, this is our third time visiting and it has improved each time. Early June seems a perfect time to visit, gorgeous weather and not too busy. We always managed to get a bed by the pool or on the beach whatever time of day. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Appreciate the rooms are possibly going for a minimal look? But some hooks to hang coats would have been helpful. Would love to return for a fourth year. I previously thought prices for food and drink were expensive but having visited multiple restaurants over Skiathos, the prices are very similar to be fair. There is a supermarket just outside the hotel so can purchase cheaper drinks and food from there if necessary and take back to your room to store in the fridge. Really enjoyed breakfast, something nice to look forward to, great selection and again the staff were lovely and nothing was trouble. We stayed in Nest and felt it was the perfect location, could walk to nest breakfast and pool and beach. Not a bad walk after hours as well if buggy’s are not running early hours in the morning. Bus service runs very regularly, starting right out side the hotel and running all along the island to the town. If you pick up a map in the airport, it very helpfully has the bus stops listed and any restaurants near by. Highly recommend visiting Skiathos airport to watch the planes taking off/coming in, it was an incredible experience, but be aware the force from the planes is enough to knock you over if you stand really close but we really enjoyed it. There is a bar/restaurant (amaretto cafe) you can get a drink and some food from to watch planes if you don’t want to get too close.
