Hotell Gässlingen

I have stayed at Gässlingen before and I have enjoyed the experience. This time we had a room in Gåsahuset and a Valentine’s package dinner in Gässlingen house. While the atmosphere was great, the three course pre-set dinner was highly simplified and we could barely finish it. The calf entrecote was full of fat and tendons and barely edible. The starter soup with scallop left me wondering, where is that scallop, and it was generally tasteless. The desert could just as well have come out of a jar from Önos. Still the next day we felt mildly sick and fortunately the breakfast buffet was better. The room was very cozy. But, we failed to find any hot water in the shower. Turning and waiting forever the water was still ice cold. Gässlingen has a reputation and heritage to uphold. And I’m sorry to say there is dire need for shape up, if Valentines package 2025 is representative. Best moment, leaving dinner to walk back to Gåsahuset, my wife and I looked at each other and said, that dinner was totally disgusting! We hugged and laughed together. That remains the most positive memory. I hope this venerable hotel can do better.

Very nice little hotel that combines nice and fresh rooms, a boutique like feeling in the reception area, a nice poolarea and really great service. The level of attention was great. Only thing missing is a smaller gym or something. Recommend a visit

Charmant hôtel situé dans une maison typique suédoise, organisé autour d une cour intérieure recouverte d une verrière, ce qui lui donne une grande luminosité. Les chambres sont spacieuses bien que modestes en termes de décoration. Literie très confortable, on dort très bien et c est très calme, même pour les chambres donnant sur le parking. Thé et café à volonté dans la journée, le petit déjeuner est copieux, varié et assez bon. On peut le prendre autour de la piscine, très agréable. Il y a un également un solarium avec une très belle vue sur la mer et l eglise toute proche. Le personnel est souriant et très serviable. Belles balades à faire aux alentours.
