We booked through AAA using Avanti Destinations. They took all of our requests and found the perfect hotel in Lake Garda. Staff was superb. Housekeeping was exceptional. Front desk staff were all extremely knowledgeable and kind. The pool by the lake about a day of walking was great!! Far enough away from the crowded town of Sirmione but east enough to walk there. 5 mins. Would highly recommend the hotel. I don’t read reviews that often but truly appreciated the hotel and staff. A+

I celebrated my 80th birthday with 16 friends and family in July 2024. The hotel made the event a truly magical experience for everyone with ages ranging from 9 to 80. The management and staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. The children were constantly moving from pools to the lake leaving the adults in peace to relax together and chat. Everyone commented on the excellent catering from breakfast to a splendid birthday lunch. The shops, restaurants and castle of Sirmione were a draw for most while some explored the Sirmione peninsula. I cannot recommend the hotel and it's management more highly and that is from someone who has stayed in many of the leading hotels of the world.

A superb hotel in a great location. Service levels were excellent. Very clean in all area. Wonderful location on the lake. We loved the pool and sun deck area on the lake. A short walk in to Historic Sirmione. Breakfast was very good. We would definitely return.

The hotel and it's situation are really good and the room was also quite clean and comfortable. The food was not the best we have ever had - acceptable but nothing to write home about. We were really disappointed with breakfast, it being more continental than we had anticipated. The only cooked offerings were bacon, sausages and egg. Having had the egg once and found myself chewing eggshell this was definitely off the list. Found it strange to have to ask for sliced bread for the toaster! The dinner was nowhere near the quality expected and the worst offering was a prawn cocktail (which I usually love) which consisted of one large prawn cut in half with a lot of sloppy sauce and nothing else. The only thing of note that stood out during out week there was a crepe which was absolutely beautiful. The cleaners seemed to empty our bins and not much else. The bathroom towels were only changed once and I can't recall about the bedding. The bath definitely looked as if it was cleaned on one occasion with the shower hose replaced to it's holder and the plug removed - but the scum around the bath did not confirm this. One day we returned to the room to find our radio on! We certainly did not use this, nor were we aware of its existence. The staff in the restaurant (with the exception of the two Argentinian girls and the head waiter) were not particularly good, friendly or efficient. The barman was efficient and helpful but he could, at times, have benefitted from assistance. Although we did meet the owner he could have been more of a 'presence' At our last hotel the owner went round every table at dinner enquiring as to how things were, if there were any problems, etc. - over and above what was expected or usual. One final point, on our last excursion we were offered envelopes to hand back when paying our bills to enable the owner to share out tips!!! We politely refused, deciding to give tips (as we usually do) to the standout staff during the stay.

Boasting beautiful surroundings, exemplary staff and mouthwateringly authentic food, it’s a little slice of Italian heaven. From Vincenzo and the team in the dining room to Gaetano and the waiters behind the bar to the friendly and helpful reception and cleaning staff - the warmth and attentiveness of everyone at the hotel cannot be matched, and each person led to making our stay so special. Excellent hotel in a fantastic location on the shore of Lake Garda. Wonderful friendly staff. Great food - delicious four course meals every night of our stay. Spotlessly clean. Not a speck of dust in sight! There is nothing to dislike about the Hotel Continental.

12 nights of complete rest and relaxation! Hotel Continental is without doubt the best hotel I have stayed in. It just gets better and better. You are made to feel so welcome, nothing is too much trouble and the service is outstanding. Vincenzo and his staff at meal times, the maids & pool/maintenance staff and the Reception/management are so friendly and helpful. I honestly cannot fault anything! My son accidentally dropped one of his AirPods under the decking near the jetty and within seconds, the maintenance guy appeared with various tools and gadgets and managed to retrieve the AirPod much to my son’s relief! Like I said, nothing is too much trouble! I absolutely love this hotel and cannot wait to return.

Excellent family holiday again this year at Hotel Continental. Thanks to all of the amazing staff at the hotel that really made our stay special. From professional reception staff, excellent hospitality by the restaurant crew led by Vincenzo and kitchen staff that prepared so many lovely meals for our family. The cleaning crew do an amazing job to keep the hotel spotlessly clean with room cleaning twice daily. The outdoor gardens are stunning with spotless pool area. The hotel is in an excellent location within easy walking distance of lots of fabulous restaurants and access to the lake for swimming. We were collected by a local boat rental company at the hotel pier and enjoyed a lovely tour of the lake. The hotel provided towels and water for our trip which was a great help. Stunning views, excellent food, top service, clean, comfortable and quiet for total holiday relaxation. Thanks to Hotel Continental for making our family holiday so special. See you soon Frank
