Ioana Boutique Hotel

This place used to be amazing with a great restaurant, we have stayed many times in the past years! Now it is just terrible! Rooms run down with carpet stains, NO room service to clean and bring new towels, nothing! No hello when you come back from hiking, no guest attitude, nothing left. Restaurant has been removed, there is a small dining room left with a joke for breakfast. Do NOT bother to come here anymore. The lounge has been "redesigned" with a bar where is just nobody there behind the bar all day long. It is such a pity, but this happens when you have new owners that don't care anymore.

Awesome hotel, the staff were extremely nice and the service was awesome. The atmosphere was incredible and the rooms were extremely clean and nice. The staff helped for any requests and overall, it was a very good hotel.

The hotel is by no means 5 stars, maximum 3, real. I stayed 3 nights in an apartment, the cleanliness is so-so, they probably have problems with the vacuum cleaner the cheap furniture, already degraded the carpet full of stains, and the worst problems, with the hot water which was not really hot. The staff is OK, the restaurant is ok but very expensive, probably only the restaurant is 5 stars. :) Very expensive for the conditions offered!

Breakfast starts at 8, which for me is very late considering I was there for skiing and the first cabin starts at 8. The room for ski boots was not always warm, so they did not dry properly. Hotel furniture quite old and with a mild smell. Staff was friendly but not very helpful. Definitely not worth the price per room.

We travelled to Ioana Hotel as a family and we stayed in Tirol suite. Absolutely fabulous! I can't complain about anything. Just perfect! Clean rooms! Champagne, chocolate and fruits! temperature in the room was perfect! And the restaurant was fabulous! All the dishes were perfectly cooked and the waiter was very knowledgeable! He helped us pairing with a great wine all our dishes!

Ioana Hotels is for us one of the most relaxing and family oriented hotels we have been to. From the moment you step in you feel like a friend. We have been now for the 5th time here in the last year. Starting with the staff at the reception, the most friendliest barman Rasty that we ever met. He does not only ofer you the tastiest cocktails and freshest tea‘s, but also makes you feel welcomed, relaxed and cared for. Then the rooms that are awaiting you with fresh fruits and aromatherapy lamps that are turned on and relax you at the moment you open your room door… the apartments that enchant you either with a whirlpool, sauna, or fireplace, depending on what you enjoy the most… Last but not least we were incredibly surprised, each and every time, by the Forest Restaurant that is part of the hotel. The chef‘s Antonio Passarelli and his son Michael Passarelli are simply kitchen God‘s and we can say that while we stayed there, we did not feel the need to have neither lunch or dinner anywhere else but in this restaurant. Each time we enjoyed our meals we were surprised with new tastes, new spices, new flavors that made us feel the need to just close our eyes and enjoy each bite. I have to add to this review one waiter though. I think the waiter in a restaurant makes 50% of how much you enjoy your time there and want to come back. We have met Sergiu the third time we had the pleasure to be guests at Forest. He is very attentive, very friendly and feels exactly his guests needs. But most important for us as wine lovers, was the fact that he knew how to decant our wine and let it breathe. Unfortunately not many waiters in our restaurants are aware of specific rules to enjoy red wine, to let it show you the whole wine potential and character. I want to add, we know none of the people that own these two businesses, nor the employees, but we feel all of them need a review for their passion and implication to make customers happy. But also I wrote this long review for all of you to know where in Romania you really feel AT HOME… and above! Thank you once again for our beautiful stay! This time in St Moritz apartment …
