Staying at Back of Beyond - Dehigaha Ela was a dream! Sleeping in a treehouse, surrounded by nature, was pure magic—falling asleep to jungle sounds and waking up with monkeys in the trees was an adventure in itself. The staff was beyond amazing—super friendly and always there to help with anything. They made sure we had everything we needed, from organizing transport to serving delicious homemade food under the stars. The peaceful jungle setting, incredible wildlife, and warm hospitality made this an unforgettable stay. If you’re looking for a unique and relaxing escape, this is the place to be!

A unique experience waking in the tree canopy where we could hear & see the monkeys in the adjacent trees going about their daily business. Outdoor but private shower a real treat. The staff were excellent and the meals were beautifully presented and delicious including a candle lit BBQ dinner. Great stepping off point for safari’s, boat rides, Sagiriya Rock & other attractions such as a wood carver & having a traditional breakfast with a local farm family. A local nocturnal excursion spotting the rare & elusive Loris primates was amazing & a highlight. We highly recommend this wonderful venue and what it offers.

We were visiting from Australia and were looking for unique , eco friendly styled luxury accommodation, which we found in this tree top setting. The setting in the forest and tree top bungalows at the foot of the Pindurangala rock is the ideal location to explore this region, including the Sigiriya lion rock. The staff and food were beyond excellent. The tree top bungalows were superb and it was an overall enjoyable and trip defining experience. We very highly recommend Back of Beyond Jungle Hideaway for those that appreciate being amongst nature, with all the comforts.
